Christmas Chants - Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo
The Best Christmas Album ever! Beautiful Gregorian Chant by the Benedictine Monks. They did it again!!
Solo Plainsong: Gratias tibi deus (Psallentes)
Chant group Psallentes consists of six professional singers, presenting a vivid performance of fifteenth century chant. Here you can listen to the antiphon 'Gratias tibi deus' while watching the same in the original manuscript (B-Gu 15/1: an antiphoner from the Abbey of Bavo in Ghent, 1481). This version is sung solo, by Conor Biggs. This is from the cd 'Etienne de Liège - In festo sanctissimae Trinitatis' RIC 249. Buy the cd at www.ricercar.be
Regina Caeli (Solemn mode)
This is the Regina Caeli, sung in a much more solemn mode than the simple tone.
Easter Vespers at a Benedictine Monastery
The video shows the entering procession, chanting of the Responsory and the Evangelical Canticle (Magnificat), part of the Service of Vespers of the Easter Sunday.
It was recorded at the Benedictine Monastery of Our Lady of Assumption in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2006.

Dominica in Albis - Introit - Quasimodo (Gregorian chant)
(Liber Usualis, p. 809)

Here is my attempt at singing the Introit for Low Sunday or The Octave of Easter. I do not claim any expertise in the singing of gregorian chant so please forgive any inaccuracies on my part. I already noticed that I didn't go low enough on the "a" in alleluia after concupiscite.

Latin:

Quasimodo geniti infantes, alleluia:
rationabiles, sine dolo lac concupiscite, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

English:

As newborn babes, alleluia, desire the rational milk without
Ascension - Vespers Hymn: Salutis humanae Sator

Gregorian chant

1. Salutis humanæ Sator,
Jesu, voluptas cordium,
Orbis redempti Conditor,
Et casta lux amantium:

2. Que victus es clementia,
Ut nostra ferres crimina?
Mortem subires innocens,
A morte nos ut tolleres?

3. Perrumpis infernum chaos;
Vinctis catenas detrahis;
Victor triumpho nobili
Ad dexteram Patris sedes.

4. Te cogat indulgentia,
Ut damna nostra sarcias
Tuique vultus compotes
Dites beato lumine.

5. Tu dux ad astra, et semita,

The album regroups a selection of the most beautiful and well-known pieces of chant from the Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos. It is ideal for listeners wanting to discover music created in the 12th century -- music that continues to be passed from generation to generation.

Here you can listen to the antiphon 'Te invocamus' while watching the same in the original manuscript (B-Gu 15/1: an antiphoner from the Abbey of Bavo in Ghent, 1481). Gloria XV in Gregorian chant
Liber Usualis, pp. 57-58

I realize more "expressiveness" is needed and obviously Gregorian chant is supposed to be sung in a group.

Dominica in Albis - Alleluia, In die (Gregorian chant)
(Liber Usualis, pp. 809-810)

I am hoping this will be of particular help to choirs who have the great privilege of singing Gregorian chant during the Mass.

Alleluia, alleluia. In die resurrectionis meae, dicit Dominus, praecedam vos in Galilaeam.

On the day of My Resurrection, saith the Lord, I will go before you into Galilee.
