According to the co-writer & longtime band member Bob Gaudio, the song was originally set in 1933 with the title "December 5th, 1933," & celebrated the repeal of Prohibition. Neither lead singer Frankie Valli nor co-writer (& Gaudio's wife) Judy Parker were thrilled about the lyrics - & Valli objected to parts of the melody - so Gaudio redid the words and Parker redid the melody until all were content with the finished product. It ended up being a nostalgic love song. The group had to play down the sex overtCollected in More tunes... Jan 21, 2012 -

˙·٠•●♥ Superstition - ღ Stevie Wonder ♥●•٠·˙lyrics
Stevie Wonder wrote one of the funkiest keyboard riffs ever for this sexy and spooky jam. It’s not a piano, though, it’s a clavinet. A great track for getting people on the dance floor when there’s too much standing around and yakking. ˙·٠•●♥ THRILLER ღ Michael Jackson ♥●•٠·˙lyrics
This is a rare Pop song with a horror theme. Halloween novelty songs like "The Monster Mash" had been around for a while, but this was the first hit song with year-round appeal containing lyrics about creatures of the night who terrify their victim. At the time, Michael Jackson was one of the least frightening people on Earth, so the video had to sell it. John Landis, who worked on the 1981 movie An American Werewolf In London, was brought in to direct. Landis had Jackson turn into a Werewolf in the video.TCollected in More tunes... Oct 31, 2011 -
