REVIEW: Glee: “Ballad”
I can’t promise that I will not have 1,000+ words to say about this week’s episode of Glee, because I just love the show so much. This week’s episode, titled “Ballad” centered around the Glee club learning ballads to sing to their partners. Mr. Schuester explains that ballads say in song what you can’t express [...]
REVIEW: Glee: “Wheels”
I have been eagerly anticipating the return of Glee since it was announced they were on hiatus for the World Series. I am never disappointed by this show, but I was absolutely floored by this week’s episode. It centered around Artie (which was a great move on the character development front), who couldn’t ride on [...]

CHECKING IN: Modern Family
Modern Family was one of my favorite pilots of the season. It centers around three different, fairly atypical families that are all related to each other. The patriarch of the family is TV legend Ed O'Neill, who is married to a much younger Sofia Vergara. Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Julie Bowen play siblings, and Eric Stonestreet and Ty Burrell play their partner and husband respectively. The show is full of incredibly wonderful, hilarious and touching moments. Whether it's Manny (played by the adorable Rico Rodriguez) and his words way beyond his years, or Cameron and Mitchell's adventures in parenting...this show has done no wrong so far. One of my favorite moments is the song written by Alex's boyfriend, entitled In The Moonlight (Do Me):

But there's also so many other amazing moments: when Mitchell bumps Lily's head on the ceiling but she is protected by a Donna Summer wig, when Phil tries to bond with Jay and ends up getting hit in the face by a model airplane, when Shelly Long guest starred as Mitchell and Claire's mom and they talk about "the incident" at Jay and Gloria's wedding. Each episode is full of great moments like this, but even more than that, it has what many comedies lack: heart. At the end of this week's episode, Claire lets Phil win in a running race to spare his feelings. And Gloria, despite her ridiculous antics, really loves Manny and Jay and her new family. Clearly, in my opinion, this show has absolutely kept up its momentum from the pilot, and it just keeps getting better every week. I always expect great things from this show, and it constantly exceeds my expectations.

The Vampire Diaries Videos!
My love for The Vampire Diaries has just continued to grow as the season goes on. I plan to do a Checking In post about it, but I really enjoy it every week. I like how each episode is mysterious and keeps you wanting more.

So to quench your thirst (get it?) until tomorrow, here are a couple of clips from the next episode of The Vampire Diaries. Don't worry, none are too spoiler-y.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow night at 8 pm on the CW!
REVIEW: Glee "Mashup" + Videos
Glee knocked another one out of the park last night. It centered around the guys making the choice between Glee and football, as well as the war of the "slushies." I thought it was amazing to see Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch do a dance number together (and then promptly for Sue Sylvester to start hating Schuester again). I also think Puckerman (Mark Saling) is incredibly amusing, so his storyline with Rachel and wanting to dating a Jew was great. Also, the guy can sing! His rendition of Sweet Caroline was great! And not to mention Matthew Morrison's singing of Bust A Move.

Emma and Schuester's dance sequence to "I could have danced all night" from My Fair Lady was adorable. And obviously, I'm hoping this bogus wedding between Ken and Emma doesn't actually happen. Although where was Terri and all her crazy/wonderful-ness? And Kurt "taking one for the team" and throwing a slushie in his own face made me love that character even more. I think what Glee consistently does week after week is entertain me. While at the same time, I am blown away by the talent of the entire cast. Ryan Murphy and his creative staff never fail to amaze me.

Favorite quote of the night goes to Rachel: "I just think you want it too much, which is something I can relate to. I want everything too much."

So while you wait anxiously for next week, enjoy these Glee-tastic videos!

Glee Videos and Thoughts
Last night's episode of Glee was filled with amazing Sue vs. Schue moments, and musical numbers that were unstoppable. Jane Lynch is such an incredible comedic talent. Pair that with Matthew Morrison's quick wit, and anytime Lea Michele or Amber Riley belt out a tune, and you have a winning combination. Not to mention my eyes filled with tears at the closing number "Keep Holding On."However, there was an ongoing blogger debate earlier this week about "Glee," stemmed from this article. The article's main point was that the show relies on stereotypes and they need more depth of character. Some TV critics agreed with the article, saying they loved the musical numbers, but not the over-the-top drama. Others were saying that they could do without some of the characters. But for me, this show is pretty close to perfect. I understand that it can be over-the-top, but how did you feel in high school? I felt like little things could be the end of the world. And that feeling is portrayed perfectly through the main characters on Glee. Yes, they do spontaneously burst out in song (but hey, who doesn't?), and sometimes Sandy is just too much for words. But deep down, Glee is charming and wonderful. Not to mention full of extremely talented actors and singers, that each week leave me eagerly anticipating the next episode. I am loyal to a number of shows, but there are few that I must watch that night no matter what time I get home from work, and Glee is one of them. So keep doing what you're doing, Ryan Murphy and all the creative staff. You are brilliant! And because I know you need to watch these videos over and over again until next week, please enjoy!Glee cast sings Keep Holding On:Glee cast sings No Air:
VIDEO: The Vampire Diaries clip
The Vampire Diaries is one show that I have loved since the pilot, and has just gotten better. I love all things vampire, but the acting is fantastic and the storylines continue to get more interesting and complex. So, just for fun, check out a clip where Paul Wesley (Stefan) discusses The Vampire Diaries:And be sure to tune in tonight for a new episode at 8 pm on the CW.
My Favorite Jim/Pam moments
In honor of the "big day," (wedding episode) I wanted to post some of my favorite Jim/Pam moments of the series. There is one clip, and many pictures, but I'm going to do it "Friends" style. In other words, "the one where" this happened. Even John Krasinski is excited about the big day...he talks about how the cast got all choked up during the filming of the episode here (in my exclusive interview!) Please feel free to share your favorite Jim and Pam moments as well. The one where they kiss: Jim declares his love for Pam after keeping it to himself for so long. We then have to wait a whole season to see what happens after they kiss. The one with the Dundies: Remember when Pam got drunk and kissed Jim?The one with the Booze Cruise: Who could forget when Michael tells Jim not to give up on Pam. Michael can occasionally give out decent advice, and we really see Jim's vulnerability in this episode. The one where Michael declares Bankruptcy: This episode in Season 4 was overshadowed by Michael's antics, but what I remember is the amazing kiss between Jim and Pam. Jim listens to Dwight's agony over Angela, and realizes he is so lucky to have Pam. "I'm very passionate about Italian food."The one where Jim made the sale: Jim manages to pull of a huge sale, and to celebrate he says "screw it" and kisses his girlfriend. The show will give us these great Jim and Pam moments from time-to-time, and I loved this one because it was just incredibly real and so touching. The one where Jim comes back for Pam: Jim leaves NYC to come and ask Pam out on a date. Pam cries after he asks her out. For all Office fans, this is a moment we had all been waiting for....after the whole Karen debacle, and everything with Roy. This moment was so satisfying and wonderful. The one where Pam says they are dating: The camera catches them in the car kissing. Not only do I love the sweet moments with Jim and Pam, but they also play off each other so well and are incredibly funny. This moment where Pam rev
My thoughts on the Emmys
As predicted, Neil Patrick Harris was a phenomenal host. He made the 3+ hour long broadcast very enjoyable. His opening number was amazing.Check it out here:I thought that most winners were very well deserving, but some were very predictable. Here are some people who I thought were snubbed:Amy Poehler, Best Supporting Actress in a ComedyNeil Patrick Harris, Best Supporting Actor in a ComedyMotherlover Video, Saturday Night LiveSaturday Night Live for Variety SeriesDianne Wiest or Hope Davis for In TreatmentMariska Hargitay for SVU or Kyra Sedgwick for The CloserHow I Met Your Mother or The Office for Best Comedy SeriesI really thought that Neil Patrick Harris would win this year. And if he didn't win, I had high hopes for the show. In Treatment is such an amazing show that I was shocked Dianne Wiest didn't win two years in a row. But all in all, it was a fun show. I could have done without the Miniseries/Made for TV movie part that was incredibly long. And I'm not sure how I felt about the broadcast being broken up into different categories. However, I think this show (or really Neil Patrick Harris) guaranteed the Emmy Awards future on television.
Are We Having Fun Yet? My Favorite Party Down Moments
Continuing with my previous post about shows I recommend, and my true love for everything Rob Thomas, here are some of my favorite moments from the first season of Party Down.Season 1, Episode 2 "California College Conservative Union Caucus"Season 1, Episode 3 "Pepper McMasters Singles Seminar"Season 1, Episode 6, Taylor Stiltskin Sweet 16Season 1, Episode 7 "Brandix Corporate Retreat"What are your favorite Party Down moments? I promise a bigger feature soon, because this show really deserves so much praise and success! You can watch it on Netflix instant, and it is also still playing in reruns on Starz. Check it out before it comes back if you haven't already! I can guarantee it will make you laugh...a lot.
So No One Told You Life Was Gonna Be This Way (Shows I Miss The Most - Part 1)
1. Gilmore Girls: I must say, even though the 7th season was sort of a disaster with the absence of the show’s creator Amy Sherman Palladino, I miss the Lorelais. I miss Luke and the diner, Kirk, Miss Patty, Babette, Taylor and all of the Stars Hollow crew. Rory and Lorelai brought a quick wit and humor to television that I believe had never been seen before and their world was one I loved to immerse myself in every Tuesday night.2. Friends: I think Friends got a bit overshadowed by Seinfeld in its hey-day but I loved it. I could always count on a laugh at Chandler and Joey’s antics, and enjoy quirky Phoebe and even ditzy Rachel. And yes, I did get “The Rachel” haircut. But in all seriousness, this show was incredibly funny and had a lot of heart. I will never get tired of the reruns. I couldn't pick one video or find a good compilation so here are a few.3. Veronica Mars: I must admit, I watched this show on DVD, and not when it was on tv but I don’t think that makes me any less of a fan. Rob Thomas is a genius, and paired with Kristen Bell, and an amazing cast of supporting characters, he can do no wrong. With lines such as “Never undercount the sassy” and "This? Is my over-the-moon face," I can never get enough of it. Each week was a new mystery, all tied together with an overarching case to solve. The acting was brilliant, the stories were fantastic…even the theme song by The Dandy Warhols was awesome...I really don’t think I could find a flaw in this show if I tried—except for the fact that it only lasted 3 seasons. I fully support a Veronica Mars movie and you should check out @IMKristenBell on twitter for more info on how to make this happen.4. Arrested Development: This show ended way before it’s time. It was filled with crazy characters, ridiculous storylines that were incredibly grounded at the same time, and most of all, it was absolutely hilarious. The show rewarded their loyal viewers with call back jokes and gave it to
