Social Media Impact Explained
This is a clever little YouTube infomercial argument for social media that is very compelling - I hesitate to agree with the producer's enthusiasm for Gen X driving the way the trend is evolving, and I think their concept is...

Love Fonts? We *REALLY REALLY* LOVE them!

Coppola Reinvents Bardot for Miss Dior
Sophia Coppola has enlisted the voice of Brigitte Bardot for the new Miss Dior commercial now screening in France.  The spot is a fun and inventive hop through a day with 21 year old model Maryna Linchuk who happily sprits and sprays Miss Dior Chérie L’Eau
fragrance as she rides a bike, strolls merrily and otherwise has a lovely time.  Bardot sings “Moi Je
Joue” (”Me, I Play”) in the background.  Coppola described it as “a charming, catchy
melody, a little ‘bubble gum.’”  “I won, too bad / it’s what you deserved / you are my toy,”
goes the second verse. “I will promise you an inferno of claws and fangs,” goes
the third.

McQueen Stages a Fashion Throwdown in Paris
Europeans know a few things about fashion - and one of them is about getting the public's attention.  As Alexander McQueen's Fall 09 show walked amid the piles of multi-hued rubble on Tuesday - eyes as wide as saucers around the world took it in.  With outfits so outrageous even master showman John Galliano must have been impressed, bird cage and hubcap hats were cast against striking tweeds, sumptuous ballgowns, and strident suiting.
Love the collection or hate it, you must talk about it.  Which works out well for McQueen since he's launching his McQ line at Target this month.  Not to say the two collections are in any way related, but the brand is enjoying some delicious and well earned exposure as virtually every magazine and website is actively engaged in sharing their perspective on the show.  Here's a few comments:The New York Times writes:  "With a runway of broken mirrors surrounding a garbage heap made of
props from his own past collections, Mr. McQueen created a stage to
symbolize the sudden crash of luxury exuberance. The clothes he sent
out were a parody of couture designs of the last century, spoofing Dior’s New Look and Givenchy’s little black Audrey Hepburn
dresses, as well as their reinventions by new designers at those
companies in the last decade — himself included. It was a bit of a
Marie Antoinette riot, poking fun at all the queens of French fashion.“This
whole situation is such a cliché,” Mr. McQueen said before his show.
“The turnover of fashion is just so quick and so throwaway, and I think
that is a big part of the problem. There is no longevity.”"Grazia Daily wrote:"We'd heard the McQueen A/W ’09 show was going to be special. But
'special' in fashion-speak usually means a surprise performance from a
pop star or a novelty stage set. So, on a rainy Tuesday night in Paris,
when Alexander McQueen let loose his latest collection to the world's
fashion press, no one was expecting a show so beautiful it would bring
a tea
Fast Company profiles Mark Shaw of Sunkist Naturals
We were pretty amused with this interview with our client Mark Shaw of Sunkist Naturals.  Robert Scoble of Fast Company Magazine did a great job of bringing out the tech angle of a lifestyle story.
PR stunts or serious sightings? Some well publicized ghosts we'd like you to meet.

Earlier in the week we posted an article about The Jersey Devil. We were really jazzed to find out the details behind the history of the area that spawned the legend of the creature thanks to Richard Wiese. We're pretty certain that most people who follow JD do it purely out of enthusiasm for the mystique of things unknown. While ghosts and psychic imprints have been convincingly shown to be authentic by various people and groups, there are quite a few creatures whose existence has been helped along
