Career Change: Health Care to Hunk Hauling Junk
Would you say to those who believe they need a formal education to change careers?
Its hard not to shake my head in dissatisfaction at those that think a formal education is the key to a career change. Education is the key to making yourself a better person it is not the key to a better career. The book Rich Dad Poor Dad states that the Poor dad gets an education so as to find a company to work for where as the Rich dad gets an education to figure out which company he wants to buy. Obviously not everyone can go around buying companies but this points out the misconception of education. The true entrepreneurs educate themselves so as to make decisions that will help them reach their goals. They do not get educations because society or other people expect it. howichangedcareers.com

Coffee Break: Tribute to Michael Jackson
I don't watch Dancing With The Stars... just not my thing.

But,

I just saw an awesome video of the Tribute that dancers on the show did in honor of MJ. They were dancing their hearts out.

My friend, physical trainer and fellow entrepreneur Curtis Ludlow sent me the following video. We regularly share ideas and tips with eachother. You can't read everything so its good to have great relationships with others that you can share info with.

This video was my Tip of the Day (Courtesy of the Small Business Administration and the United States Postal Service)

Inspiration: Lewis Pugh At “A Taste of TEDGlobal 2009″
Lewis Pugh is discussing his preparation and eventual swim across the North Pole. I watched this mesmerized. It motivated me deep down in my spirit to be the best that I can be...to dare to dream big!

I admit, a man-cry, or tear at the end.
Coffee Break: Tonight’s Gonna Be A Good Night
When I was having a tough day at work I would take a 10 minute break and watch a BMW Film (they no longer exist on the BMW site but I just found that they are posted on YouTube.)
They were short films that would allow me a bit of escape.  Help me reset my mind.

A Map For Saturday
I began traveling internationally as a teenager.  Travel has been one of the most fascinating and life shaping parts of my life.  It is a priority to me. Yeah, I travel for work too, but my spirit soars when I think back to times when I was napping in a hammock on Tioman, barefoot and [...]
Amen Notes
While clicking around for business and entrepreneurial sites I came across Marci Alboher and the column she used to write for the NY Times. More searching lead me to a 2007 video with her and Tim Ferris. The video is over 50 minutes. I couldn't watch it all in one sitting. My inability watch in one sitting was not about the duration but about the fact that I was so excited about who they are and what they have to say. I paused frequently to take "Amen" notes. Amen, I agree with you on that topic, and on that one too. And, "Amen" you so eloquently expressed that concept that I only began to ponder.
Career Snobbery?
