I'm an Austinite. Austin, Texas - the blue dot in the middle of a sea of red. I really like my day job, I own a marketing firm. I get to meet a lot of interesting people who are in interesting places in their lives - usually starting a new business. It's their dream to start this business, I guess in some small way I help them see their dreams come true. My other job is serving my community as president of the Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Another place where I get to meet lots of interesting people. Who knows what it is about "giving back", but a lot of people want to do it and I'm run an organization that gives them a platform to do so.
