How many people would take the time and the effort to do this for an abandoned baby bird? I hope "Jay" continues to return periodically and re-affirm his friendship with the people who saved his life. He'a a wild bird, and did their best to enable him to live a "normal", wild life, but within his limited little "bird-brain" now, they're his parents. Maybe he'll bring his own hatchlings to visit in time, and to grab a snack and a bath in his original "nest"

This is The Boy's brain on drugs.

A new episode of "The Engineer's Guide To Cats." This one has cats and humans engaging in strange activities, including the infamous "Cat Polka" and "Cat Yodeling." These fine young men must have a truly special relationship with their kitties, because I Simply Cannot Imagine my felines putting up with most of this stuff!

This fine family invited themselves down to do lunch in my backyard. I counted 2 mature hens, a young tom, and at least a half-dozen chicks
