Songs That Are Timeless
Games People Play by Joe South
Games People Play  won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1970. Joe South’s  distinctive guitar at the opening is played on a Danelectro Guitar Sitar, which South also can be heard playing in the opening bars of the mega-hit Chain of Fools by Aretha Franklin.

For some reason, [...]
PROPAGANDA MACHINES IN MOTION

Propaganda is communication aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position. As opposed to impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense, presents information primarily to influence an audience. Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or uses loaded messages to produce [...]
Blame It On The Boogie

What a freakin’ lot of phony baloney creeps there are hanging out at the Boogie Board nowadays.  Not all of them, mind you, but the BB has been hijacked by those who think it’s just too cool to find fault with Taylor while singing the praises of Adam Lambert.  Is it ok to not like [...]

I’m not sure where this is coming from.  Maybe it’s a reaction to all the bickering I’ve witnessed lately.  Anyway, it’s a nice song.  Enjoy the peaceful interlude.
Thanks, Vince! I Needed A Good Laugh
I was in the middle of writing a pretty emotional post and I had to take a break.  I needed a little laugh.  I thought I’d share that laugh with you.
I just love Vince.  You know, the SHAMWOW guy?  He is just the perfect combination of TV celeb/snake oil salesman.  As funny as I thought [...]

The REAL Thing
Taylor Hicks' second music video, Seven Mile Breakdown. This song was released to country radio. Great song. Fun video with lots of visual stimulation!
Taylor Hicks Performs “7 Mile Breakdown”
In Case You Haven’t Heard……
Taylor Hicks will return to the American Idol stage on Wednesday, April 29th.  The Season 5 champion will appear on Season 8’s Top 5 results show to perform his new single, Seven Mile Breakdown. Seven Mile Breakdown follows What’s Right Is Right as the second single released from Taylor’s album, The Distance.

I am thrilled that Taylor chose Seven Mile Breakdown for his return performance.  What a great song!  It’s Taylor all over.  I’m sure that once again, he will knock AI on its ass.  They won’t know what hit them.  America will dance like no one is watching, just like in Season 5.  Taylor will make us smile and reassure us that America did indeed get it right.

Simon Cowell has led the Taylor bashing since the end of Season 5.  He will probably not crack a smile.  He will have that same “I’m above it all” bored look that he always has.  I hope he manages to choke back any snark and just lets Taylor be Taylor.  It would be nice if all connected with AI show a little restraint and just let the man perform.
GREASE IS THE WORD!

There were a lot of mixed feelings when Taylor announced that he was joining the Broadway cast of Grease.  What a great experience it turned out to be for him.  Of course, after his Broadway run ended, he joined the cast for the National Tour.  Lots of fans who were unable to make the trip to New York will be able to enjoy the show as it comes to their area of the country.

Remember back to the beginning, when the announcement was first made.  Taylor fans went looking for places to find out more about the show and info about restaurants, lodging and activities in NYC.  Lots of us were eager to check out the Grease Forum.

The members welcomed Taylor's fans, though we were kindly warned not to try to take the place over.  Fair enough.  It was great at first.  I met fans from other forums that I had no idea even existed.   There are lots of very nice Taylor fans out there.  We shared plans for trips to the city to see our Teen Angel.

CHROLLS!  They were there before the Taylor fans even arrived.  They had a stockpile of names so that when they got banned, all they had to do was log in with a different name.  Some were quite out in the open with their dislike of Taylor.  Others put on the thudding, backwoods, IQ of 2 fan so the regular fans at Grease would think Taylor's fans were psychos.

Of course, our most famous chroll, Bon Jovi, HOvi, Bertha, Agnes, etc was there leading the phony Taylor fan stupidity.  She brought along her band of chroll thugs to cause chaos.  Even Amorena lowered herself to hang out at the Grease forum so she could bash Taylor.

I won't go into any details.  There are many others who witnessed lots more of this insane behavior who could tell much better stories.  Last I heard, the chrolls are gathering there again.  Geez!  Aren't there any Daughtry sites where they can hang out?  Grease will be closing in the next few days.  It's shameful that they have to go out with nasty chrolls infesting the forum.
