Beyond the Tipping Point: Feedback Dynamics & Runaway Climate Change | Part 7
David Wasdell is possibly the foremost climate systems analyst on Earth: he tells it like it is, because he sees no reason to lie. When he talks, you listen, because failure to listen to his unique brand of unfiltered, unpoliticized, science-based analysis is failure to listen to the voice of reason. New scientific research, published since the video was completed, calls for a doubling of the figure used in the presentation for the strength of the water-vapour feedback. This adds 50% to the calculated poweCollected in Climate Change Jan 25, 2011 -

Permafrost Melts in Siberia | "We are too Late."
Permafrost, or permanently frozen ground, is soil, sediment, or rock that remains at or below 0°C for at least two years. It occurs both on land and beneath offshore Arctic continental shelves, and its thickness ranges from less than 1 meter to greater than 1,000 meters. Seasonally frozen ground is near-surface soil that freezes for more than 15 days per year. Intermittently frozen ground is near-surface soil that freezes from one to 15 days per year. Five Stars. Must watch video. John Holdren is one of the only scientists in the world to speak of the stark reality of climate change. (The other most ethical, most outspoken scientist being James Hansen) His position is based on facts known to all scientists - yet the scientific community continues to ignore his recommendations. Here he is speaking at the Kennedy School of Government on November 6, 2007. Dr. Holdren states the disruption and its impacts have grown more widely than anyone ever expectedCollected in Climate Change Oct 9, 2009 -
