Toy Story 3 (Trailer)
The plaintive montage that opens this wonderful trailer exhibits the heartfelt storytelling that Pixar has been able to provide over the last decade. Nostalgia easily comes to mind with each viewing, but Pixar’s presentation of growing old brings sentiments of fear and excitement.

Our emotional connection with these toys will continue in the summer of 2010; they’ll mistakenly be taken to a daycare center after Andy heads off to college. We’ll follow our familiar friends, Woody, Buzz, and the rest of
Avatar (Trailer)
Reported to be the movie of the year, James Cameron's Avatar has the intentions of taking us to another world in a completely immersive experience. Utilizing revolutionary technology, this film has been designed to give us an original theater-going adventure that will change the game.

Tron Legacy (Trailer)
Fuck yes!
District 9 (Trailer)
Towering expectations for District 9 are bolstered yet again by this animalistic trailer. Chaotic images splat across the scene with a thundering accompaniment of machinelike music. A jagged symphony of epic proportions. August 14 will be a good day.
Jennifer's Body (Trailer)
After having hope in this film a few days ago, I now feel underwhelmed by the trailer. There were some bits of Diablo Cody's self indulgence ; her forced teenage tongue is still painfully apparent. With more footage to come, my opinion could very well change. Just right now, I feel slightly disappointed.
The Time Traveler's Wife (Trailer)
I like Eric Bana. Love Rachel McAdams. Like romantic films. Yet, this doesn't appeal to me at all. Maybe it's because the trailer showcased all the bittersweet, sentimental moments, already leaving me with the quasi-satisfaction I get from these types of movies. Now, I don't have to see this film anymore...since I got it all from these two and a half minutes.
Shutter Island (Trailer)
Martin Scorcese's symbiotic relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio has produced some high quality films. The duo has worked together on 3 movies, which happened to garner a total of about 26 Oscar nominations and 9 wins.

Shutter Island is their fourth film together, and it doesn't look like a 21st century Scorcese picture. The trailer's cut very well to advertise a thriller, something we haven't seen Scorcese do since 1991's Cape Fear. However, it's not hard to see where the movie's twist will go.

I've be
Nine (Trailer)
In 2009, there will be two movies called Nine. One, actually noted 9, is a computer animated film. The other, an explosive musical. This is the trailer for the musical, and it's pretty monstrous. It starts with a quiet, lonesome tone and then blasts into a frenetic haze of color and dance.

The cast is purely untouchable. Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, and Marion Cotillard.

I honestly enjoy musicals, and this looks like fun.
District 9 (Trailer)
Well, this is currently my favorite trailer that's been released in 2009. That first shot of the spaceship (or whatever it is) is pretty fucking beautiful and somewhat terrifying. The teaser had this enigmatic vibe that never become cheesy. Tension kept building and building until it abruptly cut away to the title. Great work on this one, and now I'm highly highly interested.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Trailer)
This is my least favorite of the Transformers 2 trailers, but it still has me really excited for this movie. No matter what people say, Michael Bay can make a really fun popcorn movie.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (Trailer)
"The French are pretty upset." This preview made me laugh. Yay mindless, mindless fun.
Julie & Julia (Trailer)
Meryl Streep is one of the greatest actresses of our time, and Amy Adams is making her way to the top. Their combination in last year's Doubt was remarkable and powerfully executed. This movie, however, just doesn't interest me. Not because of them but because of the content. I might just pass this one up.
Partly Cloudy (Clip)
Wow, this very short clip had my jaw dropping with the beautiful animation and my heart melting with those adorable kittens and puppies.
Halloween 2 (Trailer)
*Sighs* While Rob Zombie's Halloween reboot is striving for something new with its more deteriorated vision of Michael Myers, it's really not doing anything different in terms of the horror itself. How many times have we seen a bathroom scene with a mirror revealing the villain? Far too many.
The Girlfriend Experience (Trailer)
I'm not the first one to say that Steven Soderbergh is a great director. We can just let his films speak on behalf of his awesomeness-Erin Brockovich, for which he won an Oscar, Traffic, the Ocean's movies, and his most recent epic, Che. To me, he has this ability to capture great stories with such a raw, true essence.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Trailer)
Okay, what the fuck! How can a trailer be so effing good? K, let's take some notes on this.

Great orchestral piece.
They showed a lot more of Ron in this one.
The last silent bit with Alan Rickman, giving us pure Rickman and thus, pure Snape.
Great overall montage of the action.
Shows us the darkness that's from the mind of David Yates.

I just hope that the movie will live up the trailer. Besides, Warner Bros owes it to us fans after having kicked us in the balls with the 7 month wait.

I also want to
Antichrist (Trailer)
The feel good movie of the year!
But not...

Honestly, this is such a disturbing trailer, and the final shot is mind numbingly chilling. I don't know I'm ready for this
The Hurt Locker (Trailer)
Now that I think about it, modern day war movies aren't really my cup of tea. This, however, kind of blew my mind, especially in the last minute of the well cut trailer. The last shot is somewhat spoilerish though but nonetheless very gripping.
Public Enemies (Trailer)
Public Enemies goes two for two in delivering an impressive trailer. This second trailer opens up with a much darker tone, but it fluidly leads into the catch me if you can style that the first trailer was entirely about.

However the trailers sell this movie, they sure make it look fricking great.

The gripe among many internet geeks, myself being one of them, is the visual style in which Michael Mann filmed this movie. Certain clips from both trailers reveal Mann's utilization of filming in digital, whic
The Brothers Bloom (Trailer)
In 2006, Rian Johnson gave us the gift of Brick, his directorial film noir, which was an absolute wonder in my book. His ability to create something special out of such a low budget was pretty phenomenal.

Now he returns with a heist film, The Brothers Bloom, starring Mark Ruffalo and Adrien Brody.

From the trailer alone, I think it will deliver a contagiously ill knockout, sending a fever among viewers, eventually creating a huge following, much like his predecessor, Brick.
