Later this year The DogSmith will be rolling out a new dog training service, "Just For Fun' Rally Obedience Group Training Classes. We hosted a one day Rally training camp for some of the DogSmiths led by Yolanda Purvis. Teaching A Dog To Down/Maintain With Distractions
Sookie is very ball driven. We are introducing some distractions into her ‘down-stay’ behavior. First the ball is placed on the ground and then Bethany throws the ball. Sookie is learning that if she relinquishes the ball and shows control by ‘staying’ she will get the ball when released. The DogSmith Dog Trainers teach skills in small criteria.
