Rest In Peace Eartha Kitt
Eartha Kitt Dies at 81
Eartha Kitt, a sultry singer, dancer and actress who rose from South Carolina cotton fields to become an international symbol of elegance and sensuality, has died. She was 81.
Kitt, whose saucy rendition of “Santa Baby” became a holiday pop music classic, died in Connecticut on Christmas Day. Family spokesman Andrew Freedman said Kitt was recently treated at New York’s Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for colon cancer.
A self-proclaimed “sex kitten,” famous for her catlike purr, Kitt was one of America’s most versatile performers, winning two Emmys and nabbing a third nomination. She also was nominated for several Tonys and two Grammys.
Her career spanned six decades, from her start as a dancer with the famed Katherine Dunham troupe to cabarets and acting and singing on stage, in movies and on television. She persevered through an unhappy childhood as a mixed-race daughter of the South and made headlines in the 1960s for denouncing the Vietnam War during a visit to the White House.
Once dubbed the “most exciting woman in the world” by Orson Welles, she spent much of her life single, though brief romances with the rich and famous peppered her younger years.
After garnering notice for singing “Monotonous” in the Broadway revue “New Faces of 1952,” Kitt appeared in “Mrs. Patterson” in 1954-55. (Some references say she earned a Tony nomination for “Mrs. Patterson,” but only winners were publicly announced at that time.) She also made appearances in “Shinbone Alley” and “The Owl and the Pussycat.”
Her first album, “RCA Victor Presents Eartha Kitt,” came out in 1954, featuring such songs as “I Want to Be Evil,” “C’est Si Bon” and the gold digger’s theme song “Santa Baby,” which is revived on radio each Christmas.

A New Shoe Bombing, er Throwing
Mr. Bush, I hate you so much for the pain and misery you’ve caused my Country in the name of Democracy. Thousands of innocent lives have been lost due to your irresponsible war against us. We had no nuclear weapons, and you knew this. You used the tragedy of September 11th as a way to finally finish the job your father, Mr. George H. Bush couldn’t finish. The entire Bush family has wanted some semblance of control over our oil fields for decades. I’ve watched your own people suffer with exorbitant gas prices, while you were getting richer. You will go down in history as the most incompetent President in the History of America.
No I throw shoes to show my hatred for you….

Barack Obama On Hip Hop
In a recent interview with MTV’s Sway Callway, Senator Barack Obama gave his thoughts on Hip-Hop.
“I’m a little older than hip-hop culture,” he said. “I was there at the beginning, but I was already getting older.”
The Presidential candidate went on to state how much he appreciates the forward thinking and entrepreneurial spirit of the Hip-Hop generation.
“What I’ve appreciated, watching this hip-hop generation, is to see how entrepreneurial they’ve been. In the past, musicians oftentimes were commodities. They were just shuffled around. Obviously, they did well, but they didn’t have the vision to say, ‘I’m going to build a business. I’m going to build my own studio. I’m going to create my own production operations.’ I think they’re a lot more sophisticated than in the past, and that is a wonderful thing.”

How's This For Sexism?
John McCain and his campaign has waged a war against the media, crying sexism whenever someone questions his VP candidate Sarah Palin’s credentials, as if the American People will just say “OK, We’ll take your word for it John.”
Interestingly enough, however, is the fact that John McCain himself can easily be considered sexist for his stance on equal pay for women.
The new Barack Obama ad attacks this at it’s core. John McCain thinks equal pay for women would be too great of
SNL Parody (Palin vs. Clinton)
“I invite the media to grow a pair, and if you can’t, you can borrow mine.”
McCain is ‘Divorced’….
During Thursday night’s ServiceNation forum in New York, Senator John McCain finally told us all what we’ve known all along, that he is out of touch, or ‘divorced’ from the issues of everyday Americans. While defending his choice for V.P., Judy Woodruff of PBS asked about Palin’s stint as a small-town mayor.
“Listen, mayors have the toughest job, I think, in America. It’s easy for me to go to Washington and, frankly, be somewhat divorced from the day-to-day challenges people have.”

More GOP Lies
Why hasn’t John McCain come under scrutiny for not Loving America until he was captured and held as a POW? We dare not ask him such questions, he is after all a war hero, or at least that’s what he tells us. Instead he and his cronies still attack Michelle Obama about her speech, and questioning her and Senator Obama’s patriotism. I call B_ _ _sh_ _!
Here is both the edited , and the original version of her speech.

McCain Thinks: Yeah, I’d Hit That
I found this video on The Daily Kos website and found it hilarious.
“I like big butts and I can not lie…Baby Got Back”
No wonder he made her his running mate after meeting her once…..He saw all he needed to. Think how much easier it would be to have a ‘Clinton’ session in the Oval Office… ” Uh Madam Vice President, may I see you in my office please, we have some important business to handle.” Haha.

It’s not surprising anymore, just shameful
How low will the McCain campaign go to try to win this election? It has become apparent that McCain and his advisers are going to do whatever possible to steer votes away from Barack Obama. The latest flat-out blatant lie is as vile as they come. His latest ad is accusing Obama of supporting legislation to as he put it, “to offer comprehensive sex education to kindergartners.” The tone of the ad is “Learning about sex before learning to read? Barack Obama, Wrong on education, Wrong for your family.”
Bridge To Nowhere?
Who's She Kidding?
(Article From Today’s Wall Street Journal)
The Bridge to Nowhere argument isn’t going much of anywhere.
Despite significant evidence to the contrary, the McCain campaign continues to assert that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told the federal government “thanks but no thanks” to the now-famous bridge to an island in her home state.
The McCain campaign released a television advertisement Monday morning titled “Original Mavericks.” The narrator of the 30-second spot boasts about the pa

McSame
John McCain Reiterated his rhetoric last night during his acceptance speech at the RNC in St. Paul last night. Throughout his hour long speech, (which was constantly interrupted by applause every 3 minutes) John McCain talked extensively about his love for his Country, his dedication to America, and of course, his being a POW during the Vietnam War. It’s relatively obvious that McCain is ready to lead….He’s ready to lead us to four more years of the same failed policies of the Bush Administrati
American Drug War
American Drug War
I saw a show on Showtime last night that confirmed all my suspicions, as well as the suspicions of minorities across the Country, that the CIA and the Federal Government led the influx of drugs in the Black, Latino, and poor white communities in the United States.Below is a clip of the first ten minutes of the documentary. From the Iran Contra War, To Nancy Reagan’s ‘Just Say No” campaign, American Drug War shows how and why drugs were brought into the United States to Support a secr
More GOP Hypocrisy
Did He really Pick Her Because She
After watching the GOP Convention last night, I came away feeling all dirty. Listening to Rudy can make one feel that way. He of course ids the biggest hypocrite of them all.I didn’t know much about Gov. Palin before last night. I really don’t know much about her today, since her words were nowhere to be found in her “groundbreaking’ speech. Of course it was written by the same speechwriters who penned most of George Bush’s speeches, once again, more of the same.
Happy Birthday EJ
