Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Guru was the youngest son of Guru Hargobind from Mata Nanaki. He was born in 1621 AD at Amritsar. He was brought up in the most approved Sikh style. As a young boy, he was placed under the teachings of Baba Buddha and Bhai Gurdas. The former supervised his training in archery and horse-manship and the latter taught him the old classics.
