Bandiram-er Ganatantra (বন্দিরামের গণতন্ত্র ) is a film about police excesses in and around Jangalmahal region of West Bengal and also police atrocities on people suspected of being Maoists from the beginning of 2000. The film also touches upon the death of Abhijit Sinha who committed suicide unable to bear the mental strain of regular police harassment, falsely accused of being a Maoist. Tale of Rebellion of Lalgarh and Jungalmahal
The story of adivasi revolt in Lalgarh region of West Bengal. The movement which started in December 2008 under the banner of Peoples' Committee Against Police Atrocities.
