The Brothers Bloom
I just watched a really good movie. I may be biased because:
A. I have the extreme hots for Adrien Brody. He looks like a movie star out of the 40s with his perfectly tailored suits and disheveled hair. Plus that NOSE, he is like the hot version of Cyrano.

Just a couple halloween videos
It’s Halloween in Athens. So here are a couple of videos to celebrate.

I am convinced that the dancer in this video is Jason Segel. It’s not, but you have to admit it is the exact same body type.

If I could be anyone.
Does anyone remember that song called Liquid Dreams by O-Town.

Well aside from the fact that I am so creeped out that I never realized what this was about until recently, it did get me thinking. If I could be a combination of any celebrities, which ones would I pick.

Well first of all, I would probably want to be the love child of Goldie Hawn and Eddie Murphy with a little Cary Grant and Dennis the Menace mixed in. (Not the eddie murphy of late either, the Eddie Murphy of Trading Places).

My brother would most likely look something like Carrot Top:

My eyes will be from my mom:

[/caption]

My luscious lips from my poppa:

[/caption]

At least I know where my love of leather came from.

My hair color would be from Mr.Cary Grant himself:

[/caption]

You obviously know where I get my smooth moves and fine facial features from as well.

Now as for that nice dusting of freckles over my nose and cheeks:

[/caption]

Oh and just for good measure, Beyonce's bootie.

So basically this is what I will look like:

So who wants to take me out on a date now that I have been all made over?
Architecture In Helsinki - Souvenirs
I was thinking about music today, and how much I love it. I have so many favorite songs and today I wanted to share some of them. So here it goes, my favorite songs, the ones I listen to time and time again. (In no particular order.)

Anna Nalick, "In the Rough"

I enjoy some poppy type music and this is one of my favorites. Her entire CD is great and I would be embarrassed to tell you how many times I jammed to this while driving in my car. This song in particular struck a chord with me (no pun intended), I just love the words.

"Some day love will find me in the rough, and some day, love will finally be enough."

Aqualung, "Brighter than Sunshine"

Gosh, this song. I don't know why I love it so much, but honestly this song just makes me want to believe in life and love. It renews my faith in this world and honestly, the strength this song has to change my mood is the reason I love music.

"Suddenly you're mine... and it's brighter than sunshine."

Architecture in Helsinki, "Souvenirs"

I feel like I constantly am wondering if I have missed an opportunity in life and that's one of the reasons I love this song. Plus this band is just plain good. period.

"Have we missed an opportunity..."

The Beatles, "Blackbird"

It is honestly almost impossible for me to pick a favorite Beatles song, but this one is up there. I love this song. I love the part where it goes silent for a second and then just picks up again. Magic. Only sad it's so short.

"Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take this broken wings and learn to fly. All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arrive."

Bell X1, "Eve, the apple of my Eye"

I don't even know what to say about this one. It has to be one of my favorite songs to write too. I have a soft spot for songs that start slow and then have a soaring chorus.

"And I lie behind you, And a cradle you in the palm of me, And I pat your hair down I think will we sink or swim?
'Cause we could do either on a whim"

Ben F
As Mandy Moore would say "I gotta crush on you..."
I have a confession to make: I have been watching The Bachelorette.

Phew, it feels good to get that off my chest.

I have another confession to make: I think I might (and by that I mean I do) have a crush on Michael Stagliano.

Not only is this boy funny, but he is a dancer and apparently he sings too which was news to me.

I am creepy I know, but for a second let me just indulge in my fantasy. Michael rides up on a shinning white unicorn, sweeps me off my feet and we go to the hip hop palace of love. We dance, we sing and we are merry. We also have ten children and we give them all names that begin with S.

No, I am totally kidding. That was just weird, especially the unicorn part.

But I wouldn't mind the happily ever after.

Sometimes I REALLY want to be Jewish.

I have had an obsession with Pride and Prejudice forever, and out of my love for that has sprung a love of other period books and the movies based upon them. I am that girl who will sit for six hours straight and watch the entire mini series of Pride and Prejudice in one sitting, and picks BBC versions over other movies of my favorite Jane Austen books because they are simply longer, and therefore more inclusive.

Well, tonight I stumbled across North & South, which is based on the book by Elizabeth Gaskell. I hesitate to say this so quickly, but I think that I may like it better than Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth as Darcy. North & South is, of course, a BBC version of the book and there was something about this particular cast that was just magic.

Now, that is not to say that the story isn't great. I am going to go to the library tomorrow and get the book (and everything else written by Gaskell), but the movie was just phenomenal. The entire mini-series is posted on YouTube, which is awesome seeing as how it is almost impossible to find this kind of thing at rental stores and it is $20 or more to buy it, not to mention that fact that you have to order it.

Anyway, I was just so excited with finding this that I had to share it. Although I'll wager that none of you are going to be as excited to watch/read this as I am. What can I say? I have a soft spot for corsets and haughty men in cravats. Sigh.

Here is the first part of it. At least give it a try and keep blabbing <3

BTW: It does have french subtitles, which you may find annoying. I loved them considering the fact that for the first time I realized how far I have come with my french. I could actually understand them! wowzers.
Motherlover...
I know this video is old, but I can't stop watching it. I now know ever single highly disturbing word. Can I help it if something about JT's melodic crooning is enough to hypnotize me. Never have two men in acid wash jeans been so spicy. (Bom chicka WOW WOW)

Now on to more important business...

I found this Web site here, that has a list of the top song on every day for years back so you can see what it was on your day of birth (I like that so much better than saying birthday).

I was scared at first, not wanting to scroll down to see my song was something disappointing, but luckily I was not disappointed. Who, after-all, could be disappointed by a Phil Collins song.

Perhaps I should pretend to not like the nice ol' bald drummer, but I cannot. He hold much to much of my heart. All those days with my parents driving places listening to Phil belt ballads. I know every word to the majority of his songs, and even more embarrassing know what song is next on the CD before it starts. If that is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

So, find your birthday song, and I pray you will be as satisfied as I was. I leave you will this... my birthday song. Enjoy and let his soothing vocals touch your soul. I can just see it know, this song playing as the nurse lifts my baby body up in the air like Simba the lion cub. Mama betze mabe mama badi. HA
I shouldn't find this funny.
If I fell down everytime I was scared that would not be good, and I understand that. But this video is just too funny for me to keep a straight face while watching.

Can't you just picture it:

I am walking around my dorm room, perhaps dancing around my dorm room, as is not uncommon. Then....

BANG, in comes a wolf.

I turn to run, my calves tense as I prepare to leap into the air.

And then I hit the ground and the wolf devours me.

Yum, pale white girl.

Small update
I have had no time to update this, but I wanted to take a second to say that I am going to New York city this summer. I got the internship, I got the apartment and I am really freaking excited.

To express my excitement I will leave you will this video of the brat pack played against a song by my new favorite band Phoenix. Which by the way, will always remind my of Harry Potter.
So a needle pulling thread...
It has been a long-time dream of mine to perform a staged dance in a random location. To burst out into a musical theater moment in the middle of day to day life. Sadly, I don't think I will ever have the opportunity to do this as it is one of those things people often talk about and seldom execute. Luckily for me, someone actually did take initiative for once.

This is by far the best video I have ever seen on YouTube, and just watching it makes me remember why I love life.  Life is so beautiful in its moments sometimes, and I only wish I could have been there to witness this, or perhaps participate.

Over 200 people participated in this. Isn't that fabulous? 200 people in a train station bursting into spontaneous dance in front of a crowd.

I don't know about you but it makes me want to go live life and spread some happiness, because you can't help but be happy when you see this.

Keep blabbing, and go break out into spontaneous song and dance <3

Dove Evolution Commercial - "Campaign for Real Beauty"
What is it about Hugh Jackman that makes him so DAMN sexy.

[/caption]

Dang, that picture is humongous. Now that I have said how good looking he is, it has made me think of something else.

Does he actually look like that? Or has his picture been retouched away.

In my french class yesterday the video below was brought up and I was stunned when I watched it. Completely and utterly stunned.

It is seriously disturbing that things have come so far that they can't even show real women anymore. Instead they create women, women with a type of beautiful that is not physically attainable.

No wonder so many women (and men) are turning to plastic surgery and changing the beauty they were born with to attempt to achieve completely unrealistic ideals.

I have to go again, I never have enough time to write on this thing. But I am writing this as a note to myself to talk about the dolls in the movie I watched.

Blog Post inspired by cats inspired by kittens inspired by kittens
That video has been one of my all time favorite YouTube videos for about a year now. Seriously? "I'm her mother."

"No.... She's.... Not."

I only hope I have children like this so I can record them doing stupid stuff and forever embarrass them during their teenage years. It would be the perfect parental comeback.

"I am going to the movie Mom whether you like it or not."

"Yeah, well I will show all your friends "kittens inspired by kittens."

I don't have to tell you have that one would end.

Now, I have posted the above video before but I just recently stumbled on this version of it, which is just as good, but targeted at an older audience.

"Ecstasy..."

And last but not least, the star of Kittens Inspired by Kittens telling us all about World War II, I mean III.

That was literally EXACTLY the way that my history teacher explained it to us in highschool.

"The Germans, I mean Egyptians, I mean Storm Troopers. I mean... What were we talking about again."

Oh and P.S. FYI BTW, after I wrote that entire spiel about the banana peel I straight up did fall today. Up the steps in Bentley in front of about 100 people. One of which almost fell over me after I fell. That'll teach me to dream.

And cardigan boy wasn't even there to see the cuteness in my clumsyness.

Cough
I have the black lung.

By that I mean that I cough continuously throughout the day in a raspy uncomfortable uncontrollable way. It's really quite pleasent.

Not.

So I have been attending classes with a pack of Halls in hand and the knowledge that at any given moment I might have to rush from the classroom in a fit during which my body tries to eject one of my lungs through my mouth.

Awesome.

Luckily, this sickness is contained to my lungs. Other than the annoying cough I feel pretty good. That is certainly a plus as I don't really have time to be sick right now. The whole taking a day off thing is pretty much not an option between all the stuff I need to get done. Unless of course I want to flunk out of college and live as a bag lady collecting beer cans from the front yards of college students.

Tempting.

On another note, at least I am not quite as bad as this poor boy, although I do believe I had a similar reactions when I got my wisdom teeth out. Apparently I was singing it's a blue christmas and talking about how frogs are my friends. Interesting...

Avoidance
So I know recently I have been posting a lot of videos on here, but it is how I avoid homework. Also when I see a video that makes me laugh I can't help but share it.

This video is 45 minutes long, so it is a bit longer than the others I have posted, but I am telling you it is worth it. At least, it's worth it if you like evil scientists and musicals. (I personally am  a fan of both)

I'd say from love for evil scientists probably comes from my Dad and Brother, and the movies I always ended up watching with them, and my love of musicals comes from my mom. That's a well balanced diet of pop culture if you ask me! Not that you did ask... but I tend to ask myself questions and then answer them....which is another story entirely.

Anyway. Here it is the epic adventures of Dr. Horrible.

And remember, "home is where the heart is, so your real homes in your chest."
