I was born in Gary, Indiana, attended the public schools in Chicago and northwest Indiana and graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a B.S. in Political Science and later went on to receive a Masters degree in Creative Writing from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. I have written a book about baseball, innumerable short stories, long form fiction and the screenplay for 'The Visitor from Elsewhere'. I now live my partner and her son in Skokie, IL
