YouTube’s Impact on Culture
Here is a fascinating presentation by Michael Wesch, Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Kansas State University. Michael gave a talk at the Library of Congress about YouTube and its role in the participatory culture.
He explains how one of his videos, Web 2.0 … The Machine is Us/ing Us, became very popular in [...]
What is a Browser?
A Google employee performed an informal interview of 50 people passing though Time Square, asking them questions about browsers (what is a browser, & how is it different from Google; have you heard of Google Chrome). While the video is edited & comes from Google, it is fun to hear the responses. Apparently, [...]
Touch Screen Technology

Some interesting features include the natural language [...]

Chalkboard Animation: FireKites “Autumn Story”
This is a really cool chalkboard animation that is very well made. I can’t imagine how long this took to draw, but it there must be hundreds, if not thousands of drawings from this one animation.

Mindspot the Movie: The Library as Universe
Here is a great video of Mindspot, a universe for youth. It is a library built for the needs of youth in the Aarhus Public Libraries, Denmark. Find more info see http://www.mindspot.dk
Today Show: Should cancer genes be patented?
On Tuesday, a lawsuit was filed against the U.S. Patent and Trade Office and Myriad Genetics, challenging whether the U.S. government has the right to grant exclusive patent rights to private companies for human genes. The patenting of genes is not a new phenomenon; according to various sources such as http://news.nationalgeogra
