Larry Summers was on Face The Nation and I think he did really poorly. When asked about the bonuses for the AIG criminals he gave the normal "it is a contract" boloney. When asked where all the money has gone that has been given to the banks he stared at the ceiling for 15 seconds as if he was asked to solve the equation for the speed of light in one sentence. Wow. He is a mess.

Rush is without a doubt seen by the whacked out right (The GOP) as their leader. He has said he wants Obama to fail. Essentially he is saying he would rather see the United States go down in flames then to see an alternative philosophy help our Country. They are a sad lot of angry old men.

Pat Buchanan is generally right about 99% of the time and once again he is right in saying we are not a nation of cowards as apparently our Attorney General thinks we are.  The cowards are those who are not solving the problems of illigitimacy in the African American community, the crime, the atrocious education levels. If Mr. Holder spent more time on that he would do a lot more for his race than to incite the emotions of the rest of the Country against him.  Pat Buchanan brings up a very interesting point: There is no nation on earth, including African nations, where it is better to be of African descent than the United States of America. 

The best part of President Elect Barack Obama's weekly radio address (seen below) this week is the satisfaction of knowing we finally have a President who at least knows what is going on in the economy. Unlike Bush who, until the entire thing exploded, kept telling us how the economy was great (McCain told us it was great even after it exploded), Obama appears to at least understand the issue and has some pretty good ideas on what to do about it. I like that he is talking about private sector jobs, education and health care. You may not agree with his politics but we can all agree on one thing. Thank God the buffoon is gone. Finally, we have a leader who addresses the issues and tackles them head on. Not the "Iraq is going great", "The economy is great", "Katrina is no big deal" President.

Why is George Bush even staying in office. His head is so far in the sand I am not sure he can see. President Elect Barack Obama tried to have "one President" but since the current one has essentially abdicated his responsibilities, Obama has no choice but to actively run the Country.  Here is a good video of Barack Obama appointing General Eric Shinseki. Rummy must be curled up in a fetal position wondering what the hell happened.

You can see the massive divergence occurring since we found the Republicans had indeed run the Country's economy into the ground. This is well worth looking at as it "live builds" the results of all the polls. I did put it onto the "continuation page" however as it may run slow on some computers so I did not want to slow down the entire site. 

I agree with the article outlined at Zimbio where the basic statement is that the choice of Sarah Palin was, indeed, an insult. In the end, she was not a "Maverick" or an "up and comer", rather she was mostly a dunce. She did not know much about anything, she was not ready to lead, in no way could she be President of the United States, and her family values leaved a little to be desired.  The pick was an insult to America and most everyone figured that out. It was a ploy, a spoof, kind of like a "hail mary
