Chapters 5-7 mark the climax of the bood of Esther. Here the tables are turned and evil is overcome by good. God's people are preserved through an unlikely set of circumstances. Esther after fasting and praying courageously is being used by God as she prepares to go before the king "If I perish I perish". Watch how the Lord uses Esther in this suspenseful chapter.

We will learn about God's provedential care in the live's of His people, as demonstrated in the fall of Haman and the honor bestowed on Mordecai by the King. He is in "all" the details of our lives whether small or big.

We are introduced to Haman, the Prime Minister of the Persian Empire, who is an Amalekite. He is placed into a position of leadership which becomes very dangerous to the Jewish people. He deviously sets the decree to annihilate all of the Jewish people in the Persian Empire. We will learn as christians that when we are placed in positions of authority that we should glorify God and not abuse our position.

In this exciting chapter we see how Esther and Mordecai react to the Decree of Annihilation. Throughout life we all face crises from time to time, the question is in those times of crisis what do we do? Is God Lord of our life. Do we seek God's advise? We need to be in God's word daily and in prayer daily so we can hear the voice of God in our time of crisis.

You will see the great hatred Haman had for Modecai for not bowing to him and and for all the Jewish people. His death wish for the Jews became his own as you see later in this video series of the Book of Esther.

This week we are studying the third chapter of Ruth where we see the second crucial encounter between Ruth and Boaz. This is where Ruth asks Boaz as her kinsman Redeemer to marry her at the Threshing Floor. Boaz accepts but has to go to the other closer relative to offer him to be kinsman redeemer as per the law.
