AlJazeera : Pakistan's army has claimed to have captured most towns in a district of South Waziristan, where Taliban fighters were once in control.

Al Jazeera's Kamal Hyder travelled to the region with the army and reports on their claims of progress one month after their offensive began.

Les programmes destinés à créer des communautés plus sûres marquent une réelle différence dans les vies des différentes communautés d'Indonésie, du Sri Lanka, des Maldives et de Thailande.

UNICEF: Fighting undernutrition in Cameroon
UNICEF : TCHONTCHI, Cameroon, 13 November 2009 Undernutrition is one of the biggest killers of children in Cameroon. The northern region is particularly hard hit; since July 2009, some 155 cases of severe acute malnutrition in children have been registered at the local health centre in Tchontchi alone.

In response, UNICEF is supporting an initiative in the region that is bringing more than 400 community health volunteers to area households to educate families about nutrition.

Yemen conflict raises Gulf tensions - 15 Nov 09
AlJazeera : Saudi Arabia is continuing to attack a Shia rebel stronghold in northern Yemen by air, while Saudi troops and Houthi rebels have been engaged in bloody clashes for more than a week.
