Sen. Landrieu and LRA Director Paul Rainwater were present in New Orleans on June 20 for the arrival of misplaced FEMA supplies. The housewares had been distributed to 16 other states, after sitting in a warehouse in Texas for more than two years. Sen. Landrieu's office helped to track down the supplies, after CNN broke the news.
Two truckloads of supplies, originally intended for hurricane victims but sent by FEMA to Texas, are on their way back to Louisiana after swift action by Sen. Landrieu and the Louisiana delegation.
