75% Favor Auditing The Fed
Wednesday, July 29, 2009

So much for the ongoing secrecy of the nation’s independent central banking system. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 75% of Americans favor auditing the Federal Reserve and making the results available to the public.
Just nine percent (9%) of adults think that’s a bad idea and oppose it. Fifteen [...]

Ex-analyst believes program actually the remnants of ‘Total Information Awareness,’ shut down by Congress in 2003
On Wednesday night, when former NSA analyst Russell Tice told MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann that the Bush administration’s National Security Agency spied on everyone in the United States, specifically targeting journalists, the Countdown host was so flabbergasted that Tice was invited back for a second interview.
On Thursday, he returned to the airwaves with expanded allegations against the NSA, claiming the agency collected Americans’ credit card records, and adding that he believes the massive, warrantless data vacuum to be the remnants of the Total Information Awareness program, shut down by Congress in 2003.
Asked for comment by Olbermann’s staff, the agency responded, “NSA considers the constitutional rights of US citizens to be sacrosanct. The intelligence community faces immense challenges in protecting our nation. No matter the challenges, NSA remains dedicated to performing its mission under the rule of law.”
Olbermann ran the quote under a banner which read, “Non-denial denial.”
“As far as the wiretap information that made it though NSA, there was also data-mining that was involved,” Tice told Olbermann during the pair’s second interview. “At some point, information from credit card records and financial transactions was married in with that information.”
At this point on the audio track, Olbermann can be heard taking a deep breath.
“So, lucky American citizens, tens of thousands of whom are now on digital databases at NSA, who have no idea of this, also have that information included in those digital files that have been warehoused,” said Tice.
“… Do you have any idea what all this stuff was used for?” asked the stunned host.
“The obvious expl...
Double Take: Obama Sworn-In Again
Barack Obama has taken the oath of office for a second time after stumbling over the words when originally sworn-in as president.

In a highly unusual move, the new leader took the oath in the Map Room of the White House, the day after his inauguration as the nation’s first African-American president.
Chief Justice John Roberts, who first administered the oath on Tuesday on the steps of the US Capitol, again performed the ceremony.
But this time in front of only a handful of staff and journalists - and with no bible.
“We believe that the oath of office was administered effectively and that the President was sworn in appropriately (on Tuesday),” said White House legal adviser Greg Craig.
“But the oath appears in the Constitution itself.
“And out of an abundance of caution, because there was one word out of sequence, Chief Justice Roberts administered the oath a second time.”
The reporters present said Mr Obama was sitting on a couch and joked: “We decided it was so much fun…”
He then stood and walked over to make small talk with the journalists as Justice Roberts donned his black robes.
“Are you ready to take the oath?” Justice Roberts asked.
“I am, and we’re going to do it very slowly,” Mr Obama replied.
After a flawless recitation, which took 25 seconds, Justice Roberts smiled and said: “Congratulations - again.”
One reporter, Wes Allison, of the St Petersburg Times, told Sky News: “We didn’t know it was going to happen so we were a little shocked.
“It was just a technicality - just to be safe - to be sure it was delivered correctly.
“There was no Bible - just a plain ceremony. Justice Roberts in a plain black robe and Obama in a suit.
“No family was there - just seven staffers and four reporters.”
Sky’s Foreign Affairs editor Tim Marshallsaid: “He is concerned about conspiracy rumours that he purposefully didn’t take the oath properly because ...
Obama freezes senior staff pay, sets ethics rules

Jan 22, 2009
WASHINGTON - PRESIDENT Barack Obama’s first public act in office on Wednesday was to institute new limits on lobbyists in his White House and to freeze the salaries of high-paid aides, in a nod to US economic turmoil.
Announcing the moves while attending a ceremony in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building to swear in his staff, Mr Obama said the steps ‘represent a clean break from business as usual.’
The pay freeze, first reported by The Associated Press, would hold salaries at their current levels for the roughly 100 White House employees who make more than US$100,000 (S$150,000) a year.
‘Families are tightening their belts, and so should Washington,’ said the new president, taking office amid startlingly bad economic times that many fear will grow worse.
Those affected by the freeze include the high-profile jobs of White House chief of staff, national security adviser and press secretary. Other aides who work in relative anonymity also would fit into that group if Mr Obama follows a structure similar to the one George W. Bush set up.
Mr Obama’s new lobbying rules will not only ban aides from trying to influence the administration when they leave his staff. Those already hired will also be banned from working on matters they have previously lobbied on, or to approach agencies that they once targeted.
The rules also ban lobbyists from giving gifts of any size to any member of his administration. It wasn’t immediately clear whether the ban would include the traditional ‘previous relationships’ clause, allowing gifts from friends or associates with which an employee comes in with strong ties.
The new rules also require that anyone who leaves his administration is not allowed to try to influence former friends and colleagues for at least two years. Mr Obama is requiring all staff to attend an ...
Celebrities Pledge Cult-Like “Service” To Obama Government
Creepy video resonates with “national civilian security force” fears

A mind-numbingly cringeworthy and deeply disturbing MySpace video release shows vacuous celebrities pledging their “service” to the incoming Obama government in the form of activities such as not flushing the toilet after taking a piss and selling their “obnoxious” cars.
The video was produced by actress Demi Moore for the MySpace Presidential Pledge project, and features a gaggle of highly annoying actors, singers and other patent phonies such as Sean P. “Diddy” Combs, Courtney Cox Arquette and Ashton Kutcher.
“The Presidential Pledge is a platform for people across the nation and throughout the world to make a first person commitment of service to our new President, articulating a specific intent or action to become an agent of positive change,” said Kutcher.
In the video, Sean P. “Diddy” Combs pledges to “turn the lights off,” presumably to help Obama combat “global warming” as America freezes under record low temperatures, while actor Jason Bateman promises to “flush only after a deuce never a single” and another celebrity states his pledge to “sell my obnoxious car and drive a hybrid”. Red Hot Chili Peppers front man Anthony Kiedis pledges “to be of service to Barack Obama”.
At the end of the clip, in perhaps the creepiest moment, Moore and Kutcher pledge to “be a servant to our President” as the shot pans out to show all the actors echoing a cult-like mantra, “because together we can, together we are and together we will be the change that we see,” as the shot morphs into the now familiar Marxist motif 1984-style image of Obama.
Several respondents to the video noted that the sentiments expressed were at best misguided and at worst “creepy,” “sick” and “cult-like”.
Forgive my skepticism, but millionaire celebrities vacuously pledging to “plant 500 trees” when t
There are big things in store for Canada

There are big things in store for Canada. The global elite are preparing for the emergence of a North American Union which can be described as nothing less than the centralization of power into fewer hands ultimately bringing us one step closer to a new world order.
Over the years, Canadian politicians have been moulded shaped and manipulated by the Bilderberg group to think that deepening our integration is a good idea. Consider the fact that the following men have all attended Bilderberg meetings:
Paul Martin – Signed the SPP
Jean Chretien – Implemented NAFTA
Allan Gotlieb – Instrumental in the signing of the FTA
Stephen Harper – Current poster boy for deeper integration.
The first three men in this list have all attended the same meeting! Gotlieb, Chrétien and Martin all sat together around the same table at the Bilderberg conference in 1996. All three men have contributed to the North American Union agenda and all three men have stated to me complete denial of participation in this nefarious plan.
I asked Paul Martin if he was aware of a plan to integrate the three countries into one nation and I asked him as a former Bilderberg attendee to explain what his intentions were when he signed the SPP on behalf of the Canadian people. He shrugged off the Bilderberg connection by stating that “just because I go to a Maple Leaf game that doesn’t mean I’m a Maple Leaf fan”. He than stated to me that the SPP “had nothing to do with any kind of a Union”.

Jean Chretien said NAFTA was such a bad deal he would insist that it be renegotiated. He even voted against it in Parliament. Then when he became Prime Minister he implemented NAFTA without amendment. NAFTA was almost set up to fail through disagreements on softwood lumber in order to be able to suggest that we need something better (like the SPP or eventualy
