Web Site Story, CollegeHumor’s Internet musical. This is a serious, serious doozy. Written and directed by Sam Reich, produced by CH Originals (I’m just getting the Tumblr train going). We’re all really excited about it. If you are too, you can Digg it.
It’s like Sam peered right into the heart and mind of this here director of digital media who minored in theater, and out came this masterpiece. Well done.

If there’s one thing MJ did better than anyone, it’s music videos: “Thriller”, “Black or White”, “Scream”, and of course, “Smooth Criminal”, just to name a few. All epic in their length, cost, scope, and awesomeness. Above you’ll find the full, 10-minute version of the “Smooth Criminal” video, which is an all-time favorite of mine (skip to 7:15 for the how-did-they-do-that lean that I loved so much as a kid). You can say and think what you want about the man’s personal life, but his musical career is full of undeniable excellence, and he will be missed.
RIP Michael.

The first #homeoke challenge has been accepted and posted.   Check out Michael Gruen’s “Genie In A Bottle” as requested by me.  Long and short of it, SM4SC’s doing a #homeoke fundraiser online where friends can call out (or sing themselves) their favorite song to sing karaoke style, and call out the person to sing it.

Got to meet Gavin Purcell, Jimmy’s show producer.  Really nice guy and was a swell sport about all of this stuff.  Woulda liked to meet Fallon, but alas!
My Mom and Step Dad came to the ceremony too.  In fact, my mom was going on and on about how she met Ariana Huffington and talked to her for a long time…But, then Ariana Huffington accepted her Webby and my mom whispered to us:
“Wait a second…I wasn’t talking to Ariana Huffington.”
I have no idea who my mom talked to.
Thanks again everyone who voted and let me have such a nice night.  Erik, Vanessa, Tim, Rachel, and Rusty, it was a pleasure.

After a stint on NextNewNetworks‘ Pulp Secret channel, the popular weekly comic book web series from creators Casey McKinnon and Rudy Jahchan launches its third season today. McKinnon returns as host of the four minute episodes, which are chock-full of lightning quick news from the comic world (you might have to watch each one twice to catch it all) and interviews with the top creative names in the industry.
