Say It.
We Know.
Wale comes very correct with this new track, addressing the love he’s been receiving OUTSIDE of the DMV and the hate within. He also touches on the Marky “situation”, which if it wasn’t dead before, it definitely is now.

EMP x FF [podcast]
The fine people over at Funkadelic Freestyles did another solid interview last night, this time with Mr. “Putyourhandinmypocketandyou’llfeelcockytoo”. GW what up!
When Keeping It Real Goes Right
Its been a while since zefrank stopped putting out episodes consistently, which used to be one of my favorite things to keep updated on my ipod. It’d been a while and I had started to forget about the show, until DrSpaceMan brought it up again a bit ago, so I started going through old episodes again. Man, thank God I did. The whole past two weeks have been not-so-great ones with people flinging things left and right, but when its been at its worst I’ve been humming this tune non-stop. Ray (the minister
Driving Backwards
Good track. Good video. Shouts to Lyriciss for sending it through. Be on the lookout for the in-depth interview we had with “The Hope”, hopefully posted very pronto.
Sonny’s DC Blues
I was on 7th, walking out of the the Verizon Center Chipotle where I had just bought a steak quesadilla (and got a ton of snickers from the people working there cause it was so small. whatever, size doesn’t matter) when I heard drumbeats from down the street. DC’s heartbeat. It was loud enough to hear all up and down 7th and F, and as I got closer I found out it was this good sir playing his set. I stuck around till he finished and talked to him real quick. The man’s homeless, but he’s been playing
‘Till the Morning Come
Yeeaaahhh. Came out a couple days ago, just getting it back together, still worth posting. Marky’s ‘Sheila’ track finally gets the Tabi-treatment. Also included: Week 2 of Marky’s WDMV Billboard mixtape. Yo, I dig the series. It’s fitting for the niche that Marky is trying to fill. Need to get dude a cap that says “Mainstream” on it. Maybe make the “M” the Major logo. Feel free to send me royalty checks for that idea. The only issue I have with the mixtape is that some of these tracks aren
Listen Live Now
People gotta start listening in to the local stations, and by local I don’t mean WKYS or WPGC. I’m talking about that student radio stuff. Tonight, XO will be on GW radio’s Funkadelic Freestyles. Support the local artists and the people making moves.
Listen in live here from 8-10 pm.
This Is Why I Love Futbol
PLEASE, anybody tell me in what other sport this could possibly happen? Cricket? Basketball?
In short, some officers decided to introduce a fan on the field to their nightsticks, which upon seeing the crowd unanimously decides to politely ask them to stop. UPSET THE SETUP (kinda, right eurok?)
I Do It For The Kids
I go to college. I have a laptop. Videos like these are how a lot of time is passed.
This is the work of some of the most creative but perverted minds out there. I wonder how many hours of Sesame Street they sat through to find the perfect clips.
A Hip-Hopera??!
Ladies and Gentleman, please return your seats to their upright positions.
Sticky Fingaz, 1/4th of Onyx (for those that don’t remember, they’re responsible for this) apparently had this idea kicking around in his head where he hits up all the recognizable faces from the mid-90’s till now and puts them all in a Soprano’s style hip-hop movie. The kicker? Think ‘Trapped in the Closet’?

Yes. They rap. Everything. But did you see everyone in that movie?!? First off, it doesn’t have just Mekhi
Huh?
Has anybody else out there been watching the RNC lately? Forreal, despite all the shit that’s been flung Palin’s way, and to be honest she may have pinched it off herself, I still want to hear what she has to say. But after hearing Palin’s speech, what she was saying was overriding a lot of what I was trying to hear. J. Smooth is on point with the RNC Hater Ball.

Even the Post has an article about it if you need a (slightly) less biased opinion on the focus of Palin’s speech.
Putting it out there,
[Underappreciated] Craig Robinson
See that guy up there in that video? He may be one of the most underappreciated comedians in Hollywood.
Somebody needs to get him headlining role in a movie.
Eddie Murphy : 80’s :: Craig Robinson : 2000’s
Bold. I know. He might not be the most recgonizable talent right now, but its damn sure that he is one with the most potential. Everything he’s in he kills. Remember the bouncer scene in Knocked Up? The fact that you can even remember that scene is all thanks to him.

Yea, he’s in The Office too.
megapost.
I had a couple issues come up lately thats held me up *cough*youbitch*cough, but now I’m back and lighter than ever. Here’s a couple tracks that could/should get their own post, but instead of look like I’m being way more efficient than I really am, I compiled them all into this nice little post. Hit play, listen, download if you like.
Had this track sittin in the inbox, but it’s one that shouldn’t be slept on. Lyriciss drops a dope track about one of the most frustrating experiences anyone can go
MILA KUNIS for VP
Marky Mark fell off hard after that last M. Night movie. You remember, the one where the trees made everyone in the Northeastern US want to commit suicide? Oh, whats that? You didn’t see the movie yet you say? I just did you a favor.
For almost any guy between the ages of 10-35, Max Payne was probably one of the more badass video games that came out. And the trailer for the movie version looks like its badass. A sweaty Mila Kunis, dragons, slow-motion, Ludacris & gargoyles?!?
They might as well steal ten
43 KB in LA
Studio 43 head honcho Kenny Burns drops an episode of the aptly titled “Kenny Burns Show” from LA. Features some cameos from some people you know and others that you should know. Not too big on the Heineken though (YEAH!). Gimme a Corona with a lime and we’re good. Or Yuengling. Still take take some Heineken over ANY liquor though. Everybody has a liquor story and none of them ever end good. Shouts to RP.
Latinas They Get Crazy
Pitbull & Lil’ Jon go in over a track heavily sampling Federico Franchi’s “Cream”. Don’t recognize that track title? You should once you hear it. The track is all about how women of all colors are crazy, and so we should in turn, get crazy. Listen. Grind. Repeat.

Spurrier Was A Champion
Personally, I’m not too voyeuristic when it comes to Arizona teas. I see the lemon iced tea, I grab it, I pay the man $1.04 and I drink. But far be it for me to say who should drink what and to what lengths they should go to get some. The homie D. Omen hit me up with the second episode of his AriZone series. Actually, now that I think about it, my girlfriend always gives me some peach flavored Arizona and that is THE shit.
D. Omen’s next project is expected to drop Sept. 4 with appearances by Marky, G*T
Padded Room [Cover]
I caught a bit of the live stream of his recording session the other day, which was a genius promo idea that somebody should be doing also in the near future, and the whole thing made me really look forward to his upcoming album dropping 10.28.08.
Hannibal Joe sounds too much like somebody that would tow my car if I got a flat tire at 3 AM in some Mississippi backwoods.
Here’s a nice Budden remix that I got a couple weeks back. The chorus has a bit too much echo for my taste, but Budden goes in.
