Skills Canada 2012
A short commercial that Sam and I shot and won gold with for the Skills Canada competition in TV and Video Production in 2012. Our topic was to describe how Skills Canada influences the "burgeoning trades and technology sectors in Saskatchewan", so, after about an hour of shooting, we realized we were getting the same shots as everyone else there, so we decided to switch it up and instead changed our style completely, going for more of a Thomas Schlamme/Aaron Sorkin style walk and talk. A short mock experimental film that Sam and I shot. We had thought of doing the typical excercise of telling a story through completely non-dialogue means, but we decided to do so, but mock the excercise and a large number of experimental films by making our narrative not make any sense.
