Scenes from the fall
Last weekend it snowed. Since the snow melted, this weekend we got a chance to rake up some of the leaves in our yard.
And where there’s a pile of leaves… well… enjoy the pictures.
Now in Technicolor
On Saturday, Booneabella’s room started to come to life.
It got paint… three out of the four colors it will ultimately get.  You can see them here to the right.  Very vibrant.  Very exciting.
No, we’re not going to show you what it looks like right now.  It still needs that final color, some touch-up and some [...]
“I Want Candy”
Hey Guys.
It’s Halloween… and I’ve got a lot of candy.  I went to bed with a sugar buzz.
I got up this morning and helped mommy and daddy do pumpkins.  I just drew on mine.  They carved their’s, but I helped.
Then we went to gymnastics class and Coats for Colorado before we came home and went [...]
Fall Festival
Our first year with a child in day care, and we’re learning a lot of things.
Like every fall, they have a festival to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation… and you have to show up with cash in hand and a child in a costume.
Luckily, we were able to handle both this year.
We went, we ate barbecue [...]
Pumpkin Festival
For the past couple of years, it’s been a tradition in our household to head out to the Pumpkin Festival at Four Mile Historic House the first weekend of October.
It’s a free event (minus the food & stuff) and gives us a great opportunity to get some fall pictures of Peter
In fact, the picture you [...]
There’s something about Julie…
So on Sunday (yeah, we’re running a little behind), Peter & Jill went to Belleview Park to play with Jill’s friend Kelly and her daughter Julie.
And if Peter has it his way, we would go to the park every day to play with Julie.
“Go to park play with Julie?” he asks.
“Daddy go park Peter play [...]
Big Boy Bed & Other Stuff
Sheri & Dennis came to the house on Sunday and brought Jill’s old twin bed that they’ve been using/keeping at their house for the past few years.
We immediately set it  up in Peter’s room and he’s been using it ever since.
I don’t think he really needs the bed rails, but since we have them we [...]
And Things Just Keep Happening
Another busy week around here means we’ve been a little slow with the updates.
Peter is working on potty training.  On the plus side, he actually told me he needed to go potty this morning (okay, he said “Thomas go weewee” but I knew what he meant).  On the down side, he’s reverted to using the [...]
Nana & Papa Come For a Visit
Peter’s Nana & Papa spent a few days here in Colorado this week.  Of course, they hung out with Peter a lot.  In celebration of Papa’s birthday this week (and Nana’s back in June) we all went to the Aquarium for dinner on Friday night.  It helps that it’s owned by the company that own’s [...]
Now I know (most of) my ABCs
Normally he gets the stuff at the end… but it’s still pretty good, don’t you think?
My First Gymnastics Class
I went to my first gymnastics class at the University of Denver on Saturday.
I got to run through an obstacle course, play in an 8-foot deep pit of foam and do a lot of jumping.
It was a lot of fun.
My Nutty Brother
After mommy & I got home from work today, we went out back to watch Peter play on the slide and swing (I can’t wait until I’m old enough to do the same).
Anyway, despite the fact that there is a ladder on the back and a ramp right there, my nutty big brother had to [...]
Dragonboats & “G’amma’s Dirtday”
Saturday was a big day around here.  We got up early, picked up Grandma and her friend Beverly and headed to Sloan’s Lake for the Dragonboat Festival.  Teams from across the country come to Denver to race their dragonboats.  It was a lot of fun… plus there were art projects for Peter to try (he [...]
Peter & Boone’s New Play Area
Peter & Boone got a new play area the other day… and it’s not a small one.
A friend of Jill’s is moving and the play area won’t fit at her new place.  So Friday, Keith (Grandma Janet’s handyman) and I spent six hours disassembling, moving and reassembling this structure.
It wasn’t hard work, just a lot [...]
Boone’s hoping for the sequel
Trust me (or more specifically Jill) he/she has been practicing the moves.
