Laneway housing takes form in Vancouver
A TV news story showing one of the first built examples of a laneway house in Vancouver. This housing type is exactly what it sounds like... a small house that fronts onto the lane behind a regular house. Laneway houses were legal in the city until the 1920s, and were just re-legalized in 2009 in the hopes of providing more ground-oriented rental housing. BART Teams up with Foursquare: a Social Network to Add Some Fun To Your Daily Commute
