Though I'm disappointed that Chicago will not be hosting the Olympics in 2016, I think the IOC made a good choice.
Brazil is an emerging nation on on a continent that has never hosted the Olympics. The Brazilian people seemed to want this thing passionately and they showed it. They deserve the honor.
The people of Chicago didn't seem to want the games, and that seems to be a factor in the IOC's decision. Also, why would the IOC give the games to a country that has impossible visa requirements?
