- Demonstrators toppled 8 meters tall concrete wall in Ni'ilin
The protest in Nilin was held today to mark the 20th anniversary to the fall of the Berlin wall, which has been declared an international day of action against Israel's barrier.
The 300 demonstrators managed to topple a part of the eight meters tall concrete wall that cuts through the village's land. The concrete wall in Ni'ilin - five to eight meters (15 to 25 feet) in hight has only recently been laid on

About 100 people turned out for a lunchtime protest outside the immigration department offices in Sydney to protest the Rudd Labor government's racist and inhumane "Indonesian solution" - which means intercepting desperate asylum seekers at sea and forcing them into detention camps in Indonesia.

Trade unionists and concerned members of the broader community held a rally in Sydney's Martin Place on October 28, 2009 to protest draft federal and uniform state laws which will put workers' safety at greater risk. About 7000 workers die in Australian workplaces every year and another 690,000 are injured. The Rudd Labor federal government was elected on the back of a mass campaign for workplace rights but that same Labor government is now attacking workers' rights.

Ponderosa Stomp
The Ponderosa Stomp is an annual American roots music festival dedicated to recognizing the architects of rock-n-roll, blues, jazz, country, swamp pop and soul music. Founded in New Orleans in 2002[1] and produced by the non-profit Mystic Knights of the Mau Mau (MK Charities, Inc & Ponderosa Stomp Foundation), a 501(c) 3 cultural organization dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of American roots music.
