Boudicca Feeding AM 5 objects retrieve drop bucket 09.26.11
Boudicca is good at self regulating, even though she's jrt. I've worked with her teaching slowly, speeding up, slowing down. We have lots of options to add to this chain of behavior, basketball (!), put toys away and more!Collected in responsibledog's videos Sep 27, 2011 -
Male White GSD's Evaluation Meeting Darwin Part Two
Introducing dogs using all these precautions may seem a bit over-kill! However, when you're responsible for other owner's dogs, you really can't be careful enough. So introducing new dogs as friends or housemates should be taken seriously and done correctly, avoiding any possible conflicts. Any responsible dog owner would/should be concerned how they allow their dogs to meet strange dogs, where, under what context and after you've evaluated the other dog and in some instances observe the owner own behaviorCollected in responsibledog's videos Sep 5, 2011 -
Darwin Retrieving Three In a Row
Darwin is enjoying retrieving more than ever. Pick up taught using clicker, hold object Kayce Cover's "keep going" signal, retrieve and hand off hand targeting click treat. Finish previously taught during heel training.Collected in responsibledog's videos Aug 22, 2011 -
Taking vacuuming to new level!
Boudicca never reacted to previous vacuums i.e. Meile and others. One day, vacuuming in front of a mirrored closet door, I saw what she was seeing!Collected in responsibledog's videos Jun 29, 2011 -

Dogs on Mats Session 1 and Feeding Time PM
Session 1, teaching "get on mat" then incorporating into normal PM feeding. For Darwin, teaching him using luring to the mat was faster than shaping with clicker, he goofs off so much during initial training, but anything related to food can cause him to be a distracted, frustrated, stressed and anxious! Quality of food, motivation, context, time of day, you name it, it's always context dependent! His early training did not fade lures and/or clicks without food, so beginning training was more like bribingCollected in responsibledog's videos Apr 14, 2011 -

Darwin and Rascal Play Time Good Boys
Weimaraner and Doberman playing, both neutered males, Doberman three years, Weimaraner 9 years. This is a great play session between these two dogs. Rascal (Weim) has never really been relaxed enough to play with dogs outside of the couples other Weimaraner. Rascal recently moved in with us, the boys have played like this on two other occasions, but not in house previously. Today, they came in, got settled, played a bit on the floor and are now napping! So far, this transition seems to be working out fiCollected in responsibledog's videos Jan 17, 2011 -

Teaching Tunnel Darwin November 21, 2010
We are not into competing in agility, we use our agility equipment for fun and training. This is a good example of a dog who has learned what it means to learn new things! Learning to Learn!Collected in responsibledog's videos Nov 22, 2010 -
Darwin and Boudicca Playing November 22, 2010
This is an example of play behavior, contextually related, between two individuals. They are resident dogs, play often, always using inhibited biting. This is typical of their individual play in this context/situation.Collected in responsibledog's videos Nov 22, 2010 -

Katie, Tai meet Darwin testing social skills
Testing social skills. Katie is leash aggressive on walks according to owner. She has not had opportunities to socialize with other dogs. She previously was kenneled in a “suite” type environment. This did not allow her opportunities to learn to socialize, gain confidence in meeting strange dogs and play with new dogs.Collected in responsibledog's videos Oct 31, 2010
