Robby Gordon 16th fastest in Final Practice at Michigan; slaps the wall (with video)
Robby Gordon finished Final Practice for the Carfax 400 at Michigan International Speedway with the 16th fastest time. Robby drove the #7 Moen Toyota Camry to a time of 40.199 seconds at 179.109 mph. He was .577 seconds off the fastest time set by #5 Mark Martin.
Unfortunately, Robby also hit the wall with less than 10 minutes left in the session. See the video below:
Earlier in the day, Robby was much slower in Practice 2. He turned in the 38th fastest time of 40.424 seconds at 178.112 mph, 1.486 seconds off the leader. The adjustments made to the car between the practice sessions obviously made quite a difference. Hopefully, the damage from Robby’s impact with the wall are easily fixed and don’t impact the #7’s performance tomorrow.
