Very first startup of the new 383 in the Cobalt, just days before our big annual lake trip. What was supposed to be a routine cam break-in ended up being a 2 night ordeal that included fuel leaks, a couple serious overheating problems, and a bent pushrod and galled up rocker arm. But in the end, we prevailed!

We've got a 1991 Cobalt 24 foot fiberglass boat in Florida that was primarily used for florida intercoastal runs, sleeping capacity of 2, last used August of 2007, painted recently around 2000, vessel floor has moldy carpeting, upholstery condition is good, and transom condition is good.

Boat includes engine which the donor states ran very strong when they used it for water skiing on Florida intercoastal waters and that the boat has been in dry storage since. Engine is a single inboard 1991 454 Mag Mercu

A 75 degree cloudy spring day. Water temp is 55. Level level at 651 vs 660 full.
WOT and 50 mph, drinking gas fast. The season has offically opened!
