While married to Michael Harris, who's known as one of California's American Gangsters, Lydia Harris took the helm of a record company that her husband and Marion Suge Knight started prior to his incarceration. While maintaining her marriage and taking care of their child, Lydia did all the groundwork that was essential to launching the company to the forefront of mainstream America while Suge Knight took all the credit. In her efforts to protect her family's interest she started to receive threats and more which resulted in her winning one of the largest lawsuit settlements in the history of rap music: $105 million, awarded to her in 2005 for unpaid royalties and a buy-out of her & Harry O's portion of Death Row. THIS IS THE STORY ABOUT THE FORMATION OF DEATH ROW RECORDS as told by one of the co-founding members of one of the world's biggest music empires." The four got their start touring with hip hop group Public Enemy, and in fact it was member Chuck D who gave Busta Rhymes and Charlie Brown their names. The group made their first appearance on an Elektra Records compilation titled Rubáiyát: Elektra's 40th Anniversary, with a song called "Mt. Airy Groove". LONS soon joined up with popular hip hop collective, the Native Tongues Posse, along with the Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest and Black Sheep. As time passed, fans and critics began to focus less on LONS as a group, and more on rapper Busta Rhymes as an individual. During an infamous appearance on the TV show Yo! MTV Raps, the group was seen arguing, with member Charlie Brown becoming upset over Busta's show-stealing. The group soon split up, with Charlie Brown, Dinco D, and Milo garnering very limited success individually, while Busta Rhymes' popularity continued to increase. The group made an appearance on Busta's 1996 debut album The Coming, on the track "Keep It Movin'". However, in a recent interview, Busta Rhymes stated that he does not talk to Charlie Brown and Dinco D anymore, and even went as far to call Dinco D a "dickhead" THE BIRTH OF BUSTA RHYMES

They caused considerable controversy with the sexual themes in their work, particularly on their 1989 album As Nasty As They Wanna Be.2 Live Crew was created by David "Treach DJ Mr. Mixx" Hobbs in Riverside, California, with fellow rappers Chris (Fresh Kid Ice) Wongwon, and Yuri ("Amazing Vee") Vielot. The three met at March AFB Riverside, CA, as they were enlisted in the Air Force. Along with giving local parties on and off base, they recorded their first singles through Macola Records Distribution in Los Angeles, CA. They released "Revelation" in 1984; the single sold well in Florida, encouraging the group to release "What I Like." In 1986, due to the popularity of the new single "Throw the Dick," the group, including new member Mark "Brother Marquis" Ross replacing Amazing Vee due to military commitments, relocated to Miami and teamed up with Ghetto Style DJ's and soon to be manager and eventual performer Luther Campbell who used the nickname "Luke Skyywalker" (and was subsequently sued by George Lucas).

POLITICO: The year of the scandal

Yes, there have been years that saw bigger sex scandals. But 2009 will still be remembered for the steamy news that rocked the political world. A governor confessed to having an Argentine mistress. A senator became snared in an ethics mess after admitting he had an affair with a staffer — who was married to another staffer. And still, it all looked tame compared with Tiger Woods. Here’s a look back at one notoriously naughty year — and where the players are now. Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) In June, Sen. John Ensign announced he had had an affair, calling it “absolutely the worst thing I’ve ever done in my life.” Ensign’s paramour was Cynthia Hampton, treasurer for his political committee and the wife of his senior aide and longtime friend, Doug Hampton. The affair occurred between December 2007 and August 2008. The Hamptons left Ensign’s office in April 2008, and the senator’s parents gave the couple $96,000 — as severance pay, Doug Hampton has argued. The Senate Ethics Committee is looking into the case, and key players have been subpoenaed. But the Nevada senator has maintained that he will not leave office. Doing so would mean Nevada would have two Senate races in 2010, which could draw resources away from the GOP’s attempt to defeat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) next year. South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford Just days after the Ensign news broke, it was GOP Gov. Mark Sanford’s turn to admit infidelity. Sanford had disappeared for several days, and aides said he was hiking the Appalachian Trail. But in a long, rambling press conference on June 24, Sanford confessed to having an affair with an Argentine woman and resigned his position as chairman of the Republican Governors Association. A series of detailed and emotional love letters between the two was leaked to the press. It was later discovered that Sanford had used taxpayer-funded planes to fly to Argentina. The governor escaped impeachment by state legislators, but the

I hope this little skit will make your day. Peep Achmed's version of "Jingle Bells" - "Jingle Bombs". This skit is HILARIOUS. Scroll down for the lyrics to "Jingle Bombs". {ROFLMAO} Jingle Bombs (Achmed) dashing through the sand, with a bomb strapped to my back i have a nasty plan, for christmas in iraq. i got through checkpoint A, but not through checkpoint B that's when i got shot in the ass by the U.S military. Oh jingle bombs jingle bombs mine blew up, you see. where are all the virgins that bin laden promised me. Oh jingle bombs jingle bombs U.S soldiers shot me dead the only thing that i have left is this towel up on my head. i used to be a man, but every time i cough, thanks to uncle sam, my nuts keep falling off. my bombing days are done, i need to find some work perhaps it would be much safer as a convenient store night clerk. Oh jingle bombs jingle bombs i think i got screwed don't lough at me because i'm dead or i kill you The Thugette Lyvette "Always On Da Grizzle...."

Raised in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, Wallace grew up during the peak years of the 1980s crack epidemic and started dealing drugs at an early age. When Wallace released his debut album with the 1994 record Ready to Die, he was a central figure in the East Coast hip hop scene and increased New York's visibility at a time when West Coast artists were more common in the mainstream. The following year, Wallace led his childhood friends to chart success through his protégé group, Junior M.A.F.I.A.. While recording his second album, Wallace was heavily involved in the East Coast-West Coast hip hop feud, dominating the scene at the time. On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His double-disc set Life After Death, released fifteen days later, hit #1 on the U.S. album charts and was certified Diamond in 2000.Wallace was noted for his "loose, easy flow",dark semi-autobiographical lyrics and storytelling abilities. Since his death,a further two albums have been released. MTV ranked him at #3 on their list of The Greatest MCs of All Time. Born in St. Mary's Hospital, although claiming to be raised in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, the apartment Wallace grew up in is located in neighboring Clinton Hill.Wallace was the only child to Voletta Wallace, a Jamaican pre-school teacher, and George Latore, a welder and small-time Jamaican politician. His father left the family when Wallace was two years old, leaving his mother to work two jobs while raising him. At the Queen of All Saints Middle School, Wallace excelled in class, winning several awards as an English stude
