This year we had a few firsts here in the house.
It’s Alexa’s first Christmas.
It’s the first year that Peter understands who Santa is (even if he still refuses to meet him in person).
And it’s the first year that we’ve celebrated Christmas in our house with other members of the family (and then some).

Like many families, we spent this weekend getting ready for Christmas.  Peter & I put up the lights on the outside of the house on Friday, and then broke out our first ever “blow up”: a Santa train with penguins.

Last weekend it snowed. Since the snow melted, this weekend we got a chance to rake up some of the leaves in our yard.
And where there’s a pile of leaves… well… enjoy the pictures.

On Saturday, Booneabella’s room started to come to life.
It got paint… three out of the four colors it will ultimately get.  You can see them here to the right.  Very vibrant.  Very exciting.

Hey Guys.
It’s Halloween… and I’ve got a lot of candy.  I went to bed with a sugar buzz.
I got up this morning and helped mommy and daddy do pumpkins.  I just drew on mine.  They carved their’s, but I helped.
Then we went to gymnastics class and Coats for Colorado before we came home and went [...]

Our first year with a child in day care, and we’re learning a lot of things.
Like every fall, they have a festival to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation… and you have to show up with cash in hand and a child in a costume.
Luckily, we were able to handle both this year.

For the past couple of years, it’s been a tradition in our household to head out to the Pumpkin Festival at Four Mile Historic House the first weekend of October.
It’s a free event (minus the food & stuff) and gives us a great opportunity to get some fall pictures of Peter

So on Sunday (yeah, we’re running a little behind), Peter & Jill went to Belleview Park to play with Jill’s friend Kelly and her daughter Julie.
And if Peter has it his way, we would go to the park every day to play with Julie.

Sheri & Dennis came to the house on Sunday and brought Jill’s old twin bed that they’ve been using/keeping at their house for the past few years.
We immediately set it  up in Peter’s room and he’s been using it ever since.

Another busy week around here means we’ve been a little slow with the updates.
