Today, on the 8th of June, we had an expert and a web genius in our classroom. SuperForester Julius paid us a surprise visit from The Netherlands! He taught us how to say “yes”, “no”,  ”please”, and “thank you” in Dutch.

Good morning, everyone!

My name is Ricardo, and I will be writing this week's Music Monday post.  I have been thinking about the music of Leona Lewis for awhile now, and I wanted to share some information about her with you.

Leona Lewis is a British singer.  She knew that she wanted to be a singer when she was only 5 years old!  Her parents helped her with this dream by putting her in a school that helped her improve her singing voice.  And, when she was older,she won the British show "The X-Factor", which is like American Idol.

I like Leona Lewis because her songs have a nice message, and her voice shows a lot of expression.  Also, she tries to do things that are important in the world.  She is a vegetarian, and she won't advertise for companies if they sell fur.  This shows me that she is a beautiful person on the inside just as much as she is on the outside.
