Panzer é uma abreviação de "Panzerkampfwagen", um substantivo Alemão que se traduz como "Veículo Blindado de Combate", que na Inglaterra e nos Estados Unidos convencionou-se chamar de tanque. Tornou-se sinónimo dos tanques de batalha Alemães durante os anos 30 e 40, e é geralmente designado por sua abreviatura "PzKpfw". Panzers foram usados em ambos os organismos terrestres que compunham as forças armadas alemãs na Segunda Guerra Mundial: a Waffen SS e a Wehrmacht.

1942, Summer. Almost a year the Leningrad siege is following. A number of months the Red Army assertively tried to break the ring. The heaviest clashes happened near Mga railway station, where the German echelon with a new Wehrmacht weapon was arrived. They were heavy Tiger's tanks.
