Sam Kieth's The Maxx was the most strange and original series of the early years of Image. In 1995 it was adapted into an animated series as part of the program MTV's Oddities.
The animation frequently changes styles, and integrates a lot of art from the comic. It's a weird and beautifull has the comics, and has a nice film noir feelling.
The series was never released in DVD but MTV is serielizing it on-line.
