One morning that December, U.S. Air Force Col. Harry Shoup, the director of operations at CONAD, the Continental Air Defense Command--NORAD's predecessor--got a phone call at his Colorado Springs, Colorado, office (see video below). This was no laughing matter. The call had come in on one of the top secret lines inside CONAD that only rang in the case of a crisis.

One year passed and on Christmas Eve I loaded up my sleigh and off we went delivering presents. We went from house to house, landing on the roof if the house had a chimney, or if not we would land in the garden of the house and I would use my magic key.

However as the years past, the young Harry became rather unhappy as he started to keep himself to himself and not get involved with any of the Santa family.

As we approached the North Pole I could see the huge garage doors open with the crash team of mechanic elves standing by. We took Stan straight into the garage and the doors were closed. We waited and waited and waited for word then after four days, the doors opened and there was Stan, painted red and white and looking brand new. Mickey the motor mechanic walked up to me. “Santa, Stan is fit and well.” he said “he can now move as fast as a Reindeer, let’s call him STANCER”.

It all happened long ago after taking Snowy for a walk one day. We would always walk along the same path every morning, and sometimes I would see huge footprints in the snow. I often wondered if it could be the footprints of a Yeti, but then I would tell myself that it could not possibly be because here in the North Pole, where everything is magical and nice, we do not have such monsters!

New Year's is the only holiday that celebrates the passage of time. Perhaps that's why, Santa has become introspective. Inevitably, that introspection turns to thoughts of self-improvement and the annual ritual of making resolutions, which offer the first of many important tools for remaking ourselves. The following list is the result of our extensive survey, which consisted of over 300 Elves and 11 Reindeer responses Village wide.

I hope I am still on the nice list and in the words of Bill Clinton I categorically deny that I have been a naughty boy this year. I am seeing Bill at Christmas this year for advice on how to swing more and that should help my stroke. Next year I will be playing the field and other opens and with a bit of luck I should get more birdies.

The Spirit of Christmas is celebrated each year on one Day, it is the only day that wars stop, the hungry are fed and the homeless are giving shelter. Why only one year? Why not celebrate each and everyday in the Spirit of living?

Holiday games are a great way to entertain all of your family members. Put on some Christmas music, whip up some eggnog and throw on some Santa hats. Then gather everyone up and play games like Charades, Christmas Trivia, and Christmas Bingo.

Everyone was excited and as the snow started to fall, the reindeers left the field and headed for the barn.

On my way back to the North Pole, the sleigh was gliding through the night sky when, all a sudden, an huge Jumbo Jet pulled along beside me. The co- pilot wound the window down and shouted, “Hey Santa, are you Ok? Our navigator has been tracking you on his radar, and he has told the Captain that your sleigh is having a bumpy ride! It’s going up and down and up and down, so the Captain said we had better check on Santa because, he’s the greatest guy on the planet, and we have got make sure he is ok.”“I am OK,” I shouted, “Merry Christmas Ho Ho Hic!”

As the United Kingdom looks for answers about the current Postal strike they turn to Santa for results. Santa is quoted offering, "It's about customer satisfaction...we are always on time when it comes to putting a smile on the child in all of us."

I can still remember the day very clearly. It was July 21st 1969, and as it was summertime, the elves wanted to fly down to Florida to visit a theme park, and play with the children. As I hitched up the sleigh, I noticed Rudolph was not feeling very well so, I asked the new reindeer Ronald to be at the front. It was to be his first time to lead the way, and as we all climbed on board, with the elves sitting where the presents would usually be, off we went, singing songs, and telling jokes, and having a wonderful time!

The Elves have started this campaign to show the children and parents of the world Santa's Videos to get them into the Christmas Spirit. The Head Elf, "We're going to make this the greatest Christmas ever!

For the first time in History Santa has issued his planned route for 2009. Below is his time table for Christmas Eve. We believe at this present time Santa is in the Gym practicing his technique for going down the chimneys as fast as possible.
