The NBA 2K9 hype train is now reaching critical pace as the flood of information continues. In the past few days the first real gameplay videos, screenshots, interviews with developers, Q & A sessions and previews have all been released, all within hours of each other.

This official trailer has just been released by 2K Sports and shows a tonne of in-game footage. Showcasing Lebrons’ new and improved signature shot, Kobe’s dunks in traffic and even Jamal Crawfords signature style, this is the trailer the fans have been waiting for. The final in the four part series of trailers for NBA 2K9 has been released at last! Feauturing Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, the trailer shows the improved IsoMotion feature set to be included in this years game in action as Rose crosses it up and takes it to the hoop hard. This is perhaps the best trailer of the game so far as it is actually the first time we have really seen IsoMotion in action in 2K9. This just released Opus Trailer of NHL 2K9 features Rick Nash during the making of the game and also a whole heap of gameplay highlights. After the release of both games demos this past week it looks like hockey gamers are in for a tough choice in the next few weeks over which game to pick up. With both games offering considerable improvements over last year’s titles it could be a close finish this year for the title of best hockey game.

The third part of the teaser series of trailers for NBA 2K9 has been released to facebook and various other places and can now be seen below. After NBA Live 09’s demo release this teaser certainly leaves us wanting more, but it may be a while before 2K offers a similar demo to Live.

NHL 09 Skates onto Xbox Live
The long awaited demo version of EA’s NHL 09 has finally hit Xbox Live for eager hockey gamers to try before the retail game ships in a matter of weeks! The demo is identical to its PS3 counterpart, which was released just over a week ago on that system.
The demo puts you in the midst of last season’s Stanley Cup Final between the Red Wings & The Penguins for a short match. Also included in the game is a sample of the much wanted “Be A Pro” mode which we have been eager

EA has just recently released this new video showcasing their Quickstrike Ankle Breakers and Lockdown D features. The video has gameplay producers Jeff Antwi and Matt Lafreniere giving the rundown on just how these new features are going to work.
Previously we have written about how the guys over at EA wanted to increase the “game within the game” type of play, and these two features show that more than anything we have seen so far. It looks like it works equally as well on both ends of the court which

Seeing these first videos of actual gameplay emerge we can’t help but feel that Konami will be in for a tough fight this year with FIFA 09 shaping up better than ever. In the end though, competition is what drives the market forward and once the dust settles come October, we may just have two great soccer games on our hands.

This just released 2nd NBA 2K9 teaser trailer shows Andre Igoudala in action and shows off 2K’s incredible animation engine. The game is looking as good as ever and if the oop to Igoudala is any indication, they are going to be a highlight of the game instead of its downfall this year. This just released Teaser video for NBA 2K9 shows off the newly re-added Mid Air Adjustment feature in action with Paul Pierce and the Celtics taking on the Lakers.
There is certainly not too mucn information being given out from 2K sports at this stage, but as usual they like to keep things to themselves until a bit closer to the release date. The game is due for release worldwide on October 7th and looks set to go head to head with EA’s much improved NBA Live 09.
