田中うさ（TANAKA USA)出生於日本中部的愛知縣，從小就愛畫畫塗鴉的她即便不是藝術本科出身，2003年照樣以《ひとやすみ》（休息片刻）繪本初試啼聲贏得日本出版社繪本大賽首獎，2004年開始正式趟入了出版繪本家的行列。至今所出版的繪本遍及歐美與亞洲，這一次藉由在台灣出版她2005年的作品《おくりもの》（禮物）的機會下，首次來台開展，公開她別於繪本創作以外的繪畫作品。Collected in STIR News's videos Aug 12, 2009
