Born Amani Smith August 25th.
At a young age he became a street
kid, surviving the violent city of
Kingston, Jamaica where he
experienced poverty, crime and
injustice that nurtured his love for
music. In 1995 he migrated to
America where his song writing
talent further develop while
learning to play the keyboards.
By the end of the 1990s this ‘Urban
Rebel’ established himself as a
creative force in Boston’s
underground music scene,
releasing a number of singles and
a mixed CD “The Soldier Project”
that featured Sly & Robbie
instrumentals. He has also
branched out into other aspect of the
industry, producing Mr. Lex, Miss
Ting & Terry Ganzie.
Known as a wicked stage
performer, his style of rapping is
rhythmical, moving, powerful,
moving bodies and souls to
celebrate life. To date, he has
performed alongside some of
reggae's finest like Beenie Man,
Lady Saw, Sean P
