The ICA invited artist Travis Meinolf to weave on South First Street during the SubZero festival last June in conjunction with ZERO1. (Btw, check out the ZERO1 Superlight catalogue in our Art Lounge!). I stumbled on this lovely video made by Michael Goodier that captures Meinolf weaving in public in San Francisco and is called Social Fabric.

While this video is a stunning documentation of Lewis deSoto's and Erin Neff's, sound installation Lament, it does not do the work justice. The work is located in the non-traditional space of the ICA's fire-alley. The vocals fills teh corridor as Neff's powerful voice resonates in the dark and envelopes the listener. But don't take my word for it, you have to really experience this work on your own.
