Two rural illiterate women from Gambia came to rural Rajasthan to train as Barefoot Solar Technology Engineers and have now placed solar electricty in all of the 74 houses in their villages in Gambia. A Barefoot College 2007 film 6:13 min.

This is a video trip to the remote village of Uttar Pradesh India. Showing the Tara Akshar Literacy program.There, women were part of a new ICT method that helps illiterate people to read and write in just 30 days using a laptop. Currently India takes 6 months to 2 yrs. to teach literacy.
