4/28/08 (Lila, age 10 months) I love this video; I just think it's just really sweet (at the end, Lila crawls over to me and makes me put the camera away). Please don't mind the dining chair and the playpen in Lila's bedroom! We're moving in two weeks and all of our things are displaced. And yes, I'm wearing Isotoner slippers. 6/7/08 (Lila, age 12 months) This is a really funny video, but I wish I had started filming 3 minutes earlier, because then you would be able to revel in the hilarity that preceded this film: Mike's ham-fisted attempts to light all of Lila's birthday candles! None of the candles would light and Mike was getting all frustrated because the stubborn candles kept going out and wax was dripping everywhere. 6/7/08 (Lila, age 12 months) Lila enjoys her first-ever piece of cake! Up until this point, the sweetest thing she'd ever tasted was fruit, so we weren't sure how she would react to cake and ice cream. (I think she likes it!) Frankly, I'm surprised the cake didn't just melt into one big, pink puddle because it was literally 98 degrees in our house on Lila's birthday. The cake was awesome, if I do say so myself! 7/17/08 (Lila, age 13 months) Aunt Whitney made Lila a beautiful quilt! I took this video right after we took it out of the box. (I wish this video showed the quilt's colors better; they are really gorgeous and bright in person.)
