A peek at early voting in L.A. with Kirsten Dunst
Jacob Soboroff from Why Tuesday? went with actress Kirsten Dunst to the Los Angeles County Registrars office, video camera in hand, and cast their ballots two weeks before election day.
As you can see from the video, the Registars office is already crazy busy with citizens eager to vote early. Is this an early sign that the polls will be jammed on election, that Los Angeles desperately needs more than one early voting location, or both?

The Why Tuesday? Foundation seeks solutions to increase voter particip
Mac vs. PC on Prop 8…
A group called Homo Tracker has produced a series of No On Prop 9 ads spoofing the Mac vs. PC spots, replacing the Mac with the “No On Prop 8″ position and the PC with a “Yes.” [h/t Boi from Troy]
Curious as to if Microsoft or Apple may take the views of their parodied alter-egos seriously, I took a peek at how much employees of each organization were donating to either side of the California anti-gay marriage proposition.
My results after the clip:

So, is the PC fairly represented by a gay marriag
Chinese language Prop 8 ad needs little translation
If you’re not interested in watching, using dolls this Chinese language ad claims that if Prop 8 doesn’t pass soon mothers will be able to marry their sons, polygamy will be legalized, and minors will be able to marry adults. I’m guessing they couldn’t find any toy sheep, as no mention is made of bestiality.
And a personal plug: if you haven’t read them already, my Top 8 Reasons to Vote Yea on Prop 8.

What’s this ad about?
I guess this ad was released nearly a year ago, but I first caught it today. I found it engaging from the start, and was drawn in wanting to know what they were trying to advertise.
Take a peek, and see if you can figure it out before the end title.

Did you think it was effective as I did?
Superheroes weigh in on the Presidential campaign.
Barely Politicals Rusty Ward visited Comic-Con in San Diego to find out who masked heroes and villains would vote for.
A Ghostbuster in full gear says we’re embarassing ourselves as a nation, and thus we must vote for McCain. The Joker, constrained in a straight jacket, although he’d prefer Mit Romney. Catwoman is a libertarian, and some scantily clad gals are pro-Ron Paul.
Clearly there’s interest and enthusiasm all around, which makes one wonder whether future elections couldn’t be made part of co

Nancy Pelosi believes moving elections to the weekend is a good idea
For about a year, election reform campaign “Why Tuesday?” has been challenging ordinary citizens and politicians of every rank to think of what could be done to increase voter participation, focusing on whether moving elections to Saturdays or Sundays would have an impact.
Executive Director Jacob Soboroff was able to corner both Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi on this issue, and caught them on the video here giving their opinion:
Pelosi: “I think it’s a great idea.”
Gore: “Good idea, sounds like.”
