There are any number of reasons why someone might not want to vote for Barack Obama.I get that. But I also agree with Andrew Sullivan about what's at stake in this election. We need to think about: Who best can win the war on terror? Who best can extricate us from Iraq? Who best can handle Pakistan? Who best can manage the financial meltdown? Who best will rid us of addiction to foreign oil? Who best can unite the country? Who best can tackle the enormous debt the Bush-Cheney years have landed us with? Who best can restore America's core abhorrence of torture? Now watch these videos. In this campaign, Obama is trying to lead a national discussion about Sullivan's questions. A public, serious discussion. Four years ago, John Kerry did the same. Four years before that, Al Gore did the same. You may disagree with their answers, but at least they had the integrity and gumption to first think deeply about the questions and then honestly explain their answers to the American people.John McCain, Sarah Palin, their party, and their party's operatives are doing everything humanly possible to avoid this discussion altogether. Four years ago, George W. Bush did the same. Four years before that, ditto. What does that say about John McCain and his party?

OK, get the popcorn a comedy is on tonight.  McCain is still pushing the Barbie Palin lies (that has been proven unquestionably as lie) as truth?  She did sell the jet, she did fire the chef, she did take on the big boys?  What is this a referendum in BS?He's even eating his own words over what he use to save was the #1 issue when picking the president (you know country first), Security.  He's also claiming that Barbie Palin was right on Iraq? Let's see...she said she didn't know anything about Iraq.  That's being informed and should shows how correct she was about Iraq and Obama was wrong.  Next up is her qualification in foreign policy.  Answer:  energy.  No real need to know any foreign policy, she was right about Iraq and Iran and Obama was wrong.  No more questions Please. They really need to stop letting this confused old man out of the home by his self or at least give him better prep if he's going to attempt to sell us BS like this. This was more of the same old same old with a dash of his nonexistent difference. more about "McCain Interview On Palin Riddled Wit...", posted with vodpod
In yet another stop on his "Perpetually Vague Press Tour", John McCain answered questions from a Maine Reporter who specifically requested examples to address the Republican's claim of his own experience and good judgment, as well as running mate Sarah Palin.  There have been numerous reports of McCain's unwillingness to face the press on issues within his campaign, which this interview seemingly restores a bit of credibility into his campaign.  However, it is quickly dashed to bits by his confusing response to the reporter's question regarding Palin's experience with national security:Reporter : Well, you say you're sure that has the experience. But again, I'm just asking for an example: what experience does she have in the field of national security?McCain : (slight pause) Energy...she knows more about energy than probably anyone else in the United States of America. She is the Govenor of the state that 20% of America's energy supply comes from there. And we all know that energy is a critical and vital national security issue. We got to stop sending 700 billion dollars to countries that don't like us very much.  She's very well versed on that issue. And she happens to be Governor of a state that's right next to Russia.  She understands that Russia and their newly aggressive behavior in the world, which is something we also have to be concerned about. In McCain's infinite and ancient wisdom, the saving grace Palin can pull out on doomsday will be knowledge on turning off a light switch when leaving the room, and where Russia is on a map?  The reporter had tremendous momentum until he basically took that money shot of response to the chest.  How can you call yourself a reporter, and not ask McCain to ELABORATE?!  And shouldn't he have his cronies spew the ignorant "Alaska is near Russia" argument for him?Video is below.  To see all the perplexing goodness, fast-forward to 4:34: more about "Palin's Experience in National Securi...", posted with vodpod[Interview via Ben Smith @ Politico]

Liar, Liar, pants on fire. Why is McCain still pushing the Barbie Palin lies that has been proven unquestionably as lie as truth? She did sell the jet, she did fire the chef, she did not take on the big boys for anything other then to move new good old boys into office. He's even eating his word over what his use to be #1 issue was remember, Security. He even claims she was right on Iraq? Let's see...she said she didn't know anything about Iraq.
