Let us not forget that a former POW once turned down a chance for special treatment because he felt that he would dishonor his fellow shipmates and his country by doing so. An officer in the US military once held captive in a POW camp for 5 1/2 years refused to accept preferrential treatment just because his father was an Admiral. Was he unamerican ? I don't think so, he would not accept any preferential treatment that he did not deserve. He put country and honor first. What has OBAMA done for his country but vot on a bridge to nowhere when the money was needed to rebuild the Crescent City connection after Hurricane Katrina. Mc Cain has been under pressure and chose the right thing to do.

Lark and me both linked out to this ad earlier, but having just watched the whole thing I feel it deserves a spotlight all its own. This new ad is the sharpest stuff we've seen yet from Obama, and I guess explains why John McCain either can't -- or won't -- define what "honor" in politics means to him these days.I especially like it because it opens with the Two McCain's theme ("What happened to John McCain?") ... which I think is a winner.Related: DEMS FIGHTING WORDSTHE COUNTDOWN BEGINS: HOW LONG UNTIL BAM LANDS A CLEAN PUNCH ON MCCAIN?
What Andrew Sullivan calls "the first truly devastating and powerful Obama ad of the fall campaign." I agree.I love the Obama message of hope. But let's not fool ourselves into into our own liberal self-righteousness and pretend that this campaign is above politics as usual. If we do we get trampled. We don't need to be deceitful. We don't need to lie or lose integrity.  But we do need to play hardball and not become Swift Boated castaways. Obama needs to show some teeth because folks, we are in the fight of our lives. This is an excellent (and honest) start. more about "McCain: Truth Be Damned.", posted with vodpod

Yes people, Obama's gloves are still off and I like it. This is cutting it to the chase. I guess if you're rolling in mud like McCain's campaign you've got to expect to get dirty. more about "New Ad: Deception Is All McCain Has Left", posted with vodpod
I think I know what the Obama campaign is trying to do to McCain....make him get a temper and explode in front of the American people.  I love this ad though, it gets straight to the point. Watch, its called, "Honor",more about "New Obama Ad, "Honor"", posted with vodpod

I love the Obama message of hope. But seriously, let's not fool ourselves into into our own liberal self-righteousness and pretend that this campaign is above politics as usual. If we do we get trampled. We don't need to be deceitful. We don't need to lie. But we do need to play hardball and not become Swift Boated castaways.
