There was already an act and state law put into place before McCain was even a POW. SO, if you're not getting the pay you deserve demand it. See below:
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
The following is the text of the Equal Pay Act of 1963 (Pub. L. 88-38) (EPA), as amended, as it appears in volume 29 of the United States Code, at section 206(d). The EPA, which is part of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended (FLSA), and which is administered and enforced by the EEOC, prohibits sex-based wage discrimination between men and women in the same establishment who are performing under similar working conditions. Cross references to the EPA as enacted appear in italics following the section heading. Additional provisions of the Equal Pay Act of 1963, as amended, are included as they appear in volume 29 of the United States Code.
By state:
The Equal Pay Law (Act No. 694 Enacted December 17, 1959; effective March 17, 1960) prohibits the discrimination by any employer (in any place of employment) between employees on the basis of sex, by paying wages to any employee at a rate less than the rate at which he/she pays wages to employees of the opposite sex for work under equal conditions on jobs which require equal skills.
Note: Variation in the payment of wages is not prohibited when based on a seniority, training or merit increase system that does not discriminate on the basis of sex.
Obama's addressing the right party with this ad. Every time I thing about McCain telling women to get better training and education I start laughing. That's suppose to be an excuse why women can't receive equal pay? Who's playing stupid now, McCain. more about "Obama ad on women's pay", posted with vodpod
This is good! Notice the subtle sepia tones this ad frames John? Faded, aged, and out of touch. I think it’s a nice approach to reach out to an important constituency. more about "MyDD :: Obama Begins His Equal Pay As…", posted with vodpod [...]
How's This For Sexism?John McCain and his campaign has waged a war against the media, crying sexism whenever someone questions his VP candidate Sarah Palin’s credentials, as if the American People will just say “OK, We’ll take your word for it John.”Interestingly enough, however, is the fact that John McCain himself can easily be considered sexist for his stance on equal pay for women. The new Barack Obama ad attacks this at it’s core. John McCain thinks equal pay for women would be too great of a burden on business. McCain goes on to say that women (in general) need more education & training. Wow. Now that sounds sexist to me.

An unreleased Obama spot airing in Virginia criticizes McCain for opposing legislation requiring women receive equal pay.“It’s one more thing John McCain doesn’t get about our economy.”Watch it above.
