Totally agree! The REAL hustle is coming from the banks. I have a similar situation with a major bank...the monthly payments on my thirty year FIXED mortgage suddenly started to increase. As an explanation, the bank gave me some complicated formula involving escro deposits to cover increased tax rates blah blah blah. Somehow the escro deposit is several times the difference of the new yearly tax rate. (Of course I am not paying the bank any extra money, I just pay my local county tax board directly.)

Man i'm really sick of hearing about the scam commited by a person, when major banks are just as bad. I bought a house on foreclousure in Elk Grove, CA. last year,on the courthouse steps, the home was in foreclousure by GOLDEN ONE CREDIT UNION, which had 2 notes on the property (I found out later) i won the bid at $48,000.00paid by CASHIERS CHECK, a week later after my deed was recored GOLDEN ONE CREDIT UNION, called me an told me i owe them another$200k, I was thinking there was a mistake somewhere, i called the company in texas that held the auction, and they where shocked at the news too and even asked my "why where they calling you, there is no lein on the property" I even asked them to give me back my money, and they can have the home back, The guy on the phone actually LAUGHTED AT ME, and said "we aren't giving you nothing back, we are gonna evict you" to make a long story short they foreclosed on the property again, even though i paid cash, and had me evicted from the home by the SHERIFF!! I even tried to hire an attorney, but he quit on me cause he had more important things(more money to make) to do,so i lost another $1200.00 that i didn't have( the money was from a accident that took me off of work permantly) so let's talk about major banking scams on home. Oh by the way GOLDEN ONE CREDIT UNION is worth about $6 billion, if the had gave me my money back it would have cost them nothing(they would still have the home) and thier members around 0.06 each.
