Whirrled peas. the reason we have things "that we don't use" is so there is a deterrent to people that think about attacking us. Do you think if we were totally disarmed, we wouldn't be attacked? That doesn't make sense.
He is also disarming us by trying to get HR-45 passed so people can be charged if they use their unregistered guns to defend themselves. They will be going door to door to pick those registered guns up if you aren't careful.

The only people who benefit from the current plans for missile defense are the defense contractors and their lobbyists who stand to make a killing in lucrative government contracts to build this crap. I use the word crap because thus far, any so called missile defense system has utterly failed anything remotely close to an actual real world scenario (ie: it can shoot down something coming into our airspace without knowing beforehand exactly where it will be). But no matter, they'll bilk the government (aka taxpayer) billions for the shit, while they line their pockets and live the good life. Never mind that they can't get the damn thing to work, or that the biggest threat we face today is from guys who live in caves. We don't need missile defense. We need defense from defense industry lobbyists. And you conservatives are so brainwashed, you think that you are being patriotic when you defend them. Turn off the Rush Limbaugh and wake up! We spend billions for shit we don't need, and then when our troops go into an actual battle, they don't have proper armor for themselves or their Humvees. But hey, as Rumsfeld said "you go to war with the army you have, not the army you want". He should have said "you go to war with the army you have, not the one you thought you paid for". Oh yea, and when those troops come home wounded, they receive shitty medical care and veterans benefits, all thanks to your friends in the current administration who've cut back on such unimportant details so that they can give tax breaks to the rich and save money for stuff like missile defense. Now THAT'S f*cking welfare!
